Sharing with Friends & Family

I realized today to that I've never shared my Etsy shop on my personal Facebook page. I've sold to a few friends and family members here and there, but overall not many of my Facebook even know that I have a shop here on Etsy. The items I sell make great gifts so with the holidays approaching I feel like now would be a great time to share.

How have you shared across personal social media? Link directly to your shop? Link to your shop Facebook page (if you have one) and hope they'll like that and follow the links on to check out your shop? I can see pros and cons of both.

I have a separate page for my business on Facebook. I think it has definitely helped with views in my etsy shop and website. It's too early to tell whether it has helped with sales.

I share the very occasional post from my business fb on my personal FB but about half my friends list follow my business Page anyways, so I don't like to double up on them. Linking directly to your shop occasionally won't hurt though!

I feel like I get more action from my personal page than my fan page for my store.

So more often than not, I'll post to my personal page than my fan page about new products.

I do have separate personal/business pages on Facebook. With the holidays coming, I just thought I'd share on my timeline. Just a "hey. I have this shop and I'd love for you to keep me in my for holiday gifts." posted on my timeline. Just wondering if I should include a direct link to the shop or to my business FB page when I post on my personal page.
