Set a Goal for July

Hi there,

Setting a goal (no matter how small) can help you accomplish more. Last month we invited sellers to set a goal and share it with the team. Take a look at last month's thread ( https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/14658006) where you'll see many sellers reporting they reached their goals or made some progress they felt good about.

Take a moment to settle on your goal and then share it here. By writing it down and sharing with others, you'll reinforce your commitment to it.

A goal can be anything from listing a new item to reaching your 100th sale.

When sharing your goal for July, please introduce yourself and share how long you've been selling on Etsy.

I'll start. I have been working at Etsy for 3 years, and I've been on the Seller Education team for the last year. I just moved so my goal for July is to set up a studio space in the new place. What about you?

I am so happy! All my July goals have been achieved! I woke up this morning to a sale and in the beginning of the month, I had reached 100 listings. *dancedancedance*

Second progress report for July.

(Sorry if I'm being a bore, but every time I meet a goal I get excited and have to share!)

This may sound ambitious, but most of these are within reach.
1. Finish replacing the last of my original images with better versions. (Some; still have a few weeks.)
2. Add 11 new listings, for a total of 115. (107; two weeks to go)
3. Increase my followers:
- 80 on Etsy (151. Go me! I decided to follow a bunch of people yesterday.)
- 45 at www.NancyGoldsteinPhoto.com (43, post more!)
- 15 at TheiPhoneographyBlog.wordpress.com (10, ditto)
4. Get out there and create some new work! (Arrrrgh. No change here...)
5. Promote, promote, promote! (Yes, yes, yes!)
6. MY SECOND SALE!!!!!
7. Stay positive! I may not be supporting myself with my shop yet, but it WILL happen! (Hanging in there; gets easier with each sale I guess.)

I was hoping to break 100 sales, even though my items are more suited for the winter :/ ALMOST THERE!!

My goal is to add more products and make my shop and my brand more cohesive. :)

My goal is to to have over 300 followers! I also need to list more items, create more items to list! My last goal was to rephotograph some of my current items and I did some of that… my shop is looking better but I'm still not getting too many views… not sure how to up that one! Any suggestions are welcome!

Wow, July is running out already! My goal for this month is to choose a name for my shop, and boy this has been such an obstacle, and to embrace and run with it. Any one else out there found this to be a struggle? In the past I've always used my name when selling my work, pros and cons? anyone?

Hello! I opened my shop in 2008 but I've been slack with inventory over the last several years because of graduation. I now have a kiln and a wheel, so I'm super excited to get back to work!

My goal is to focus on inventory and list 20 pieces by the end of the month.

I’ve been w/Etsy since 2010 and have made 2,514 sales so far, mostly family tree charts. My goal for July is to make it to the pool to swim laps at least 2x a week and list at least 1 new product design (done—handmade blank journals) + list 3 vintage items per week.

Hello all! I opened up my shop last November and have been working hard on adding listing to my shop. I hope to make four sales for the month of July.

Goal #1 was to have 100 items in my shop. I reached that goal very recently. Goal #2 was to support other Etsy sellers, particularly ones who did handmade work and had a small shop. I put up one Treasury and had so much fun doing it that I just put up another. It's fun to see the replies from sellers who had their items selected.
I have had an Etsy shop for one year. Now that I just became a grandmother I seem to be doing more buying than selling. Well, there ARE a lot of adorable things for newborns and I'm sure I'll continue looking for more! Aloha. . .

I relaunched my shop on July 1st, so my goal has been to make my first sale! The trickiest part so far has been getting the word about my product out to its target audience, since most of my friends don't fall into the category of 5-year old girls and their parents. :P

But I will be doing my first modeled photoshoot this Saturday, so I think that will really help show off the product!

I have been on Etsy since May as well. My goal for July is to make my first sale on Etsy and to update my older listings. I have had many sales at local Farmers Markets, but to date do not have any sales on Etsy. I hope to change that this month. :) Good luck to everyone on accomplishing your goals.

Hi there I opened my shop in 2010 but never made very effort and felt a bit despondent at the time as I had not made any sales but now I have renewed vigour and enthusiasm and I believe my artwork has improved since then. I reopened or rather started relisting again about 10 days ago and although I have not had a sale yet I am feeling really positive this time round about potential sales hopefully soon or some time in the near future. I have also just discovered the teams I have joined and love the idea of being able to promote items and join in discussions. I love this site it is so full of really talented sellers. It is so important to believe in your product and create from the heart My goal this July is to put every effort into my shop
