Sent a proof with no response...?

I sold a save the date on Jan 7th and I sent out a few proofs that same night. I have yet to get an email (or any response) back for me to send the final copy. Is it common for people to take this long to get back?

I think I might just be antsy??

In my day job this happens all the time. I usually give them a call and they forgot to send it back or thought they already had. In your case maybe send a follow-up email if you haven't already.

I'd follow up and remind them that you're still waiting for written approval on their design.

Hi Ali and Travis, yep this same thing happend to me recently and I just sent a follow up email after not hearing for a few days. They got right back right away and approved the proof so I could move forward. good luck and let us know if it works out!

did you water mark it?
I heard someone else did that and they just simply copied it because it was not water marked? did you get a deposit?

Jan 7th was only a few days ago. Its quite possible that they buyer hasn't checked their email since then.

You can always send a follow up email if you like.

It was not watermarked but the item is completely paid for. I just emailed her again. Hopefully she just loved it and used one of the proofs.

The same thing is happening to me now for a personalized bag and I sent two messages but you just gotta wait it out and I know you just want to get it done and off your plate.

I sell personalized note cards and won't print until the buyer approves the proof first. I would say about 10-15% of the time, I have to pursue for days until I get a response. :(

I am thinking of putting "CARDS WILL NOT BE PRINTED AND SHIPPED UNTIL PROOF IS APPROVED" in the beginning of each listing (I have it in my listings but it might be missed half the time). It can be frustrating and I worry that holding an order up (while I wait for a response) might result in a negative feedback. Sigh.
