Selling on Facebook?

I was just reading the post here about the guidelines for give-aways and promotions, etc. on FB and that prompted me to join this Team to ask ...

1. What is FB's position about having photo albums where things are for sale?
2. What is FB's position about FB groups whose raison d'etre is selling stuff?

In other words, is FB cool with people selling on their site? Or do we need to use an app for that?

(I have Googled for an answer to this question, as well as searched FB's "help" files, but I've not found anything ... pro or con ... regarding this topic.)

I am unsure as to the answer but i know others that sell via facebook with out the use of apps and it seems ok.
Usually they do by way of the photo album and just get customers to comment with SOLD on it if they want to buy it.
But i am unsure - i know there is always FB marketplace too.

I've tried FB Marketplace, with no luck.

I was invited to a FB "yard sale" group back in January and, being laid off and needing $$, I jumped right in and sold a LOT of stuff. To make it easier to keep track of the things I was selling there, I uploaded them to a FB album, where they continue to sell from time to time.

I tried the "Payvment" app when it was first released a couple years ago, but found it too time-consuming to use, so I got rid of it after a few months. (This app may have improved since then, for what that's worth.)

yep i have tried payvment too ended up getting rid of it, i use the storenvy app as i have a storenvy store so it works well
