Okay. So, granted, I feel like my shop is a little helter-skelter, what with knitting patterns all over the table, but...I have tried to do everything right:
Listing a lot, changing my pictures (I have started using Gimp, which is free, downloadable, and "enlightening"!)....I use millions of tags. I have had only 2 sales.
Any advice?
Basically, the only thing I am hoping to make a "living" on, are the patterns. The rest are one-time creations. Either I was in the mood to dream something up, or I made prototypes, or the item was for myself (a hairbrain idea), that was made with no pattern, but ended up not the size for me. The solution? Sell on Etsy! I wasn't trying to create a niche, but I was hoping that someone would enjoy the items.
As I said, I am not hoping to make a living on my knitware, because no one values the time spent. I would have to sell for a lot of money, if time were considered! I think a lot of knitters on Etsy sell for way less, simply because they enjoy knitting and don't mind doing it for a few dollars more than the cost of the yarn.
But how do I sell the items I have?
