My wedding sales have dropped drastically, is anyone else experiencing this?

What have you been doing recently?

Have you been continually adding new items and revising the listings on the older ones?

What about marketing? What have you changed there? Maybe its time to revise the marketing plan again. I know I look at mine every couple of months and adjust it as needed.

Breanna, I thought so too, but look at last years and its a Fall / Winter thing too.

Yes, renew old items every morning and list new item every evening.
Marketing everything continuously ie..twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, tumblr, etc.

Revised tags just the other day to see if that would help.

I think it might be partly down to the fact that, over the summer, there was a banner at the top of the front page, which directed visitors to the wedding section. It's still fairly visible on the left. I have noticed that my wedding orders have quietened down. I'm guessing most people get married in summer when the weather is nice.

How do your views and sales compare this year to last year October 1-11th?

What are your views like from twitter to your shop? Do you have new followers on twitter?

How many people are seeing your posts on fb? Are there more or less people seeing your post this year compared to last year? Have your likes on fb continued to increase?

Are more people 'stumbling' you?

What is your tumblr account? Is that a great way for you to get the word out about your new items?

Were you featured anywhere last year that you aren't this year?

Are you doing any different advertising?

Were there more brides in 2011 than 2012? Is the majority of your business to brides? How far ahead do you find they buy their jewelry? Do you do a lot of bridal party jewelry?

You have a great shop and I love seeing your new items on facebook! You no longer show up in my newsfeed. I do seek out your shop about once a week to see your new listings!

I'm not in weddings, but my sales have definitely slowed. I'm feeling like my shop has been dropped off a cliff, and isn't being found. We will see though I guess.

I know what you mean Kylie. I have both wedding and everyday jewelry and I was selling 5-6 items in a week and now nothing.

This happened to me too. I don't blame it on the time of year, but I do think it's just because customers are looking for things using different search terms. Most of my views came from search, so as soon as I dropped off I realized I needed to change some things.

For the last week I've been reworking tags to find the best ones and that seems to help. My search percentage has shot back up so now I just have to focus on cementing the sale....Adding items and retaking photos is always a plus too.
