Reddit

Do people use Reddit here? How has it worked for you? I posted a couple of things about 9 hours ago, and my views jumped massively.

Re: Reddit

Nope, don't use it. I've gotten views from there to other sites but in small numbers.

Re: Reddit

I use Reddit in the sense that I find funny pictures there sometimes or read AMAs. I can't imagine how I'd promote my shop there. That would just look like (and be) spam.

Yeah... out of curiosity where did you post to?

Re: Reddit

Well I posted my funny cards under the Funny section, and under Pictures... Quite possibly right about it being spam, but the whole point of advertising is to get noticed. They did fit into the mould of what is allowed to be posted there, but it was one of those situations where its not something that would usually be posted there... but then I thought "Eh, why not?"

And really, why not?

Re: Reddit

An image form my blog was posted, and made it to the front page for a half a day and my blog got over 5,000 hits! Seems like a wonderful tool if you can use it.

I think of spam as something that's unwanted, so just as long as your item fits the category your I'd say go for it!

Re: Reddit

Depends on the sub. It has to be relevant, as reddit is very sensitive to spam. There are subs like r/artstore where you are free to post commercial links.

Re: Reddit

My husband keeps saying I should use it, but not sure if I can fit another site like that into my days... I'm not sure that buyers would come from a site like Reddit. Views maybe, but sales, I'd have to be convinced.
