Rearange

I've been rearranging my store and I was wondering on how it should be sorted by similar patterns, like items, color, gender? How am I doing on the rearranging. I would love to know if it is appealing to the eye.

I think it is a good idea to have a variety of representative items in different patterns and colors on the very first page so that viewers get a good feel for your product range, and I see you have made it look pleasing by grouping colors together, too

My items are really different in my shop but I arrange them mostly by color or just similar colors. I think that they look better that way but at the same time there shows variety because if I set my firts page with all headbands, the second one with bracelets and etc. people will think that I only sell headbands because they are on the first page...

I rearrange by putting different varieties on page 1, so that the customer knows the products available in my shop and they dont have to go to the last page to check.

I try to keep things sorted by type but there are days when it just takes too long to rearrange.

I've thought of sorting by colour though, but I'll have to give it some more thought.

I try and keep it semi cohesive. usually I put my best and favorites on the front page.

I haven't been using the rearrange feature for a couple of years, but recently started using it again because I make my items in small "editions" and I've decided to list all of a particular item at a time. Since I don't want 3 or 5 of a similar item all bunched together, my current "rearrange strategy" is to spread the items throughout my shop.

Great question. I struggle with that myself and I only have 2 1/2 pages. I'll be interested to see the answers you receive.
I like to put rows of like items together so I can have a variety variety but still show some cohesiveness.

On my first page I use a mixture of styles, colours, etc. Basically show off what your shop is like. I am currently sorting the rest of the pages by colour. Its difficult though!

When I shop for vintage clothes on Etsy, I looove seeing the store organized by colors.

But if it isn't a clothing shop, I gotta say a variety is way better. If you have a mismosh of items that all together represent your shop, there's a better chance for that one thing that'll catch my eye to stand out to me- which means I'll click to the next page to find more of it.

I don't know where jewelry shops fit into that mix though, I don't ever shop for it so I've got no advice there.
