Quick help with etsyonsale PLEASE

I just got a custom reguest to sell separately my necklace which comes as a jewelry set with earrings. I agreed and edited the listing - taking off earrings price. Now I am running a 10% off sale powered by etsyonsale.com

The question: I changed the item price. How long will it take etsyonsale to set a new 10% off price? Or should I do it by hand?

You can go tell Etsy on Sale to not include new listings in the sale - click on the sale you're running, and you should be able to change it.

Re: Quick help with etsyonsale PLEASE

Thank you Erin but I do want the edited version of this listing to be included in the sale, so 10% will be taken off the new price (only necklace without earrings) and then the buyer can complete the purchase. Wondering how soon etsyonsale responds to my edits to make a sale price for the customer - I put a new price, calculating from original price.

I agree! If you've gotten some interest off of the listing, I would go ahead and relist. It is fairly inexpensive. Good luck!

Oh, if the sale is running and you have it set up the other way, the new listing will automatically discount when you list the necklace without the earrings, then.

I would copy the listing & place it outside of the section to avoid the hassle.

Re: Quick help with etsyonsale PLEASE

I may sound a bit dumb, but I am not getting it - I did not renew it, it was renewed only July 11 at the old price. Now I only edited the price taking earrings off. Now should I renew the listing in order to make etsyonsale work for it? I feel like I need to do something about it before I go to bed, and potential buyer is in a different time zone and may not want to wait too long.
So I have to set the final price and make sure I see it changed by etsyonsale.

Re: Quick help with etsyonsale PLEASE

No, you don't need to renew the listing for the edits to take effect.

You simply need to go into EtsyonSale.com and have it refresh your listings.

But remember that if you make any changes to your title or your first photo on items that have been changed using EtsyonSale, they may not be able to be reverted back to the original listing

Sorry - it looks like a comment I posted for someone else's question got posted on here by mistake. I'm not sure how that happened! I'm not a complete idiot :)

Thank you @crochetgal!

I changed the title - put Reserved for **** in it and Necklace only. I let it sit for the night and the price wasn't automatically changed, Now I think I will change it manually and wait for the customer's reaction,
