Quick Survey: Holiday or Christmas Markets in the U.S.

Hi teammates,

The Seller Development team here at Etsy HQ is doing some research to determine what U.S. holiday markets Etsy Team members participate in. We know that many Teams organize their own pop-up shops or craft fairs during this time, but what non-Team selling events, if any, do you participate in during the holidays?

I do three and sometimes four Christmas shows and also in a gallery that participates in the Festival of Lights in Monte Vista and will be doing a special night. In addition I set up at a couple of restaurants when they do a Christmas event that is very profitable.

I am fairly new (only 2 sales) and I am still building up my inventory. I am not looking to do any shows this holiday season. Next year will probably be a different story.

I do a couple of shows in November and December. One is at a local winery and the other at the ice skating rink during their holiday show.

I sell at local high school and church shows--and I applied to a UNM show for the first time this year. Fingers crossed!

I will do a smal Craft Fair through my work the end of October. I'm also trying to get into a Holiday Fair in my area in November.

I participate in several markets here in Rochester, NY. Artist Row, Eastside YMCA, St. Rita's holiday show, Yelp's Brainery show, and hopefully (acceptance letters not sent yet) MayDay Underground.

Here where I reside the school Holiday Fairs are a big hit so that's been done. Consign with local Thrift & Gift stores, Vintage, Handmade stores.

Long Beach WomanSpirit has a Winter Solstice Faire every year on the 1st Saturday in December. (Dec. 5th this year.) They also have a Summer Solstice Faire on the 1st Saturday in June. I do both of these - they have a nice, Pagan-Renaissance-Faire-type feeling and everyone always has a good time, even the vendors who don't sell a lot.

I'm in the UK so not relevant to this really, but am hoping to do my first craft fair in October (just around the corner in my hometown), and if it goes well - and if I have enough annual leave days left! - I might try and get a stall at the local Christmas market.

Hi Tess, just starting the Craft Entreprenuership Program here in Atlantic City, NJ. Currently arranging a Holiday Fair for my new entrepreneurs in Nov/Dec window, in conjunction with the local artist community.

This will be a first for the City and a new tradition of Happiness & Fun for my students!
