Questions about shipping

If a customer buys two items, how do I make it so they don't get charged for shipping twice?

Also if I'm at a craft market and use the Etsy app to sell to someone, will they be charged shipping?

If you use the sell on etsy app, no shipping will be charged.

If you don't use calculated shipping, you can control how much you charge the person for the additional items. But if you do use it, there's no way around not being charged twice for it.
