Problem: Pixilated images in pictures

What's the first thing you notice in the two listings below?

I expect it was the pixilation of the images within the earrings. And that's the problem - they're not actually pixilated. These earrings measure 1cm, and the images are quite clear. They're well-printed, and while they are magnified beneath the glass, they're not negatively affected by it.
I used a macro lense and got quite close, so I'm wondering if that could be the problem, it's tried to get too much detail, or it's because I'm photographing pixils with more pixils. I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can correct it either with post-processing or with rephotographing - closer, further away, no macro etc. The pixilation in the image isn't actually there, the earrings look fine, but because of the way they appear in the picture I'm even considering lowering the price even though the earrings themselves are better than they appear there.

Help, please!

What's the resolution of your photographs ? And the size in pixels ?

With the macro lens, you can get too close - I back up and use a photo editor to crop my images later. Of course, I'm not shooting an item that is a digital photograph itself, and that can be a problem. That's why soldiers wear pixelated camouflage now - it's to confuse digital cameras.

I'd suggest backing up a little and cropping the image first, to see if that helps. If not, I'm not sure what to tell you.
