Two questions...

Does Etsy tell you if someone pins you and do you pin your own stuff?

It will show up in your stats if the traffic comes from Pinterest. And, yep, sometimes I pin my items..

I do pin my own items - I have specific boards for that "etsy earrings", etc - so that it's separated from the other things that I pin. They don't mind, as long as you pin other people's items too. :)

Etsy doesn't send you a notice if someone pins your item, like they do if they favorite them - however you can set it up to notify you from pinterest via email when someone does. :)

I have a board, "etsy store", to keep it seperate from other stuff. I know a lot of people with small businesses that do this, and they say it helps them. Since I did that, I've received more views from pinterest (before was like 1 a month, now its 30 a month). I've also noticed an overall increase in views and favorites by doing this as well.

I have actually removed people with "My Etsy Store" boards if they pin several items at once. It really gets annoying to see 5-10 pieces of jewelry pop up in my feed at once!

So, pin your items, of course! And we all want to support each other... but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pin 1-2 at a time, pin some other things, and spread it out! Otherwise, you're really not getting the most out of your traffic!

Agreed - too many at once is frustrating (even though I was guilty of it at first )

I pin 1 item of mine per day- 2 days.
You can see at your stat how many people come to your shop from pinterest.
Pinterest is for fun and for me it is for inspiration also.

I'm just starting to get the hang of Pinterest...my question is; is there a way to remove the somewhat tacky looking "price tag" that shows up when I pin an item from my shop? I've experimented with pinning items from other Etsy shops & those don't show up with price tags, why do mine & how can I remove them? Thanks!
