Install the Pin It button on your toolbar and you can pin from most websites (some sites don't allow pinning - such as Facebook). You can also repin items that you see on Pinterest.
Pinterest wasn't meant to be for self promotion but I noticed recently that they removed that part from the Pinterest etiquette section. I still try to refrain from overdoing it on pinning my own stuff.
An important part of pinning is to make sure you link back to the original source. It's so frustrating when I find something I like (like a recipe or craft project), click on it and it takes me nowhere. If you pin from a blog, please make sure you're pinning from the individual blog post and not the home page of the blog (another pet peeve of mine). If you pin from the home page that pin is pretty much useless once the post is archived. Click on the title of the blog post and pin from that page.
Just a heads up, it's against the Etsy Success team rules to promote our shops here, which includes posting fan pages, Pinterest & Twitter links, etc.
