It was recommended to me that I start using some kind of prop in my item pictures--something related to how the item would be used. I already do that with tea wallets:

But the obvious ones, using human models to show things like hair clips, scarves, whatever else, is bugging me. I'm not terribly comfortable using a human model; I don't personally like to buy things that are "used"--I wouldn't buy a hat that had been on someone else's head, because I don't know how clean that person's head is! That's just one example. And I know I'm not the only one that feels this way, because I found a whole group of people online that talked about how gross it is to buy things on Etsy that've been worn because of questionable hygiene. I'm also not comfortable using the only available models--myself and my stepdaughter. Just not okay with putting pictures of either of us all over the place, kwim?
Would it be totally stupid to put my hair clips on a doll? Any other suggestions? Or should I just keep them as is? It's not like they're not selling at all, but if there's room for improvement I might as well take it.
