One Order with Multiple Items, How Do I Cancel One Item?

A customer purchased 2 items in a single order, now she wants to cancel 1 item.

How do I cancel 1 item in the order?

She paid with direct checkout, how do I refund purchase price and shipping?

Both items are packaged and ready to go , I was going to the post office in the morning.

it will give you the option to only partially refund of a portion of the payment when you click cancel this order.

It is really easy, just go to your order receipt and find "manage order" click it and you will see the list. Refund the unwanted item plus shipping to customer's account. That is that!

Well duh....Took me a minute to find it... I've never had to cancel or issue a refund.

Just got done with Etsy Support Chat, they said "Actually the system won't allow to cancel one item from the whole order." This must have changed, I don't know what to do now other than to ask the customer to cancel and reorder.
