This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales

I'm super excited because my husband believes enough in my business that we agreed to by a photography background and lights! They are on the way and I can't wait to make my shop look more professional and hopefully get more sales!

I Love Etsy!
I am so glad that I finally threw caution and decided to open an Etsy shop. It has been a great experience!! I learned a lot of new, interesting. I see what all the beauty created. I found a new name for my shop. My name is Marina. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area USA and make beautiful things in wet felting techniques.

I just shipped my 20th order today! Here's hoping to a busier year for all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Selling on Etsy has been a learning process, but I think I am getting the hang of it. My local post office signed me up for Small Business Solutions today as well, which was nice. The savings I get means I shouldn't have to raise my shipping rates when postage increases on January 11th. Inquire at your post office to see if you qualify. I had no idea there was such a thing until the post-mistress asked me if I wanted to sign up. I look at it as an early Christmas present that keeps on giving. :)

Woohoo! Hit 100 sales today!!! (101 actually, but hadn't seen that I had hit 100!) So pleased.
My shop has been open a year this week and really looking forward to improving it while on Maternity Leave in 2016! xx

WooHoo! Opened my second shop, 2 sales in first month and gained a sale in my old shop!!! Very excited. I know more time and energy on Etsy will equal more sales, but where to begin? :)

Hi All!

Handcrafting is awesome with meaning!
I have a trend with my Anchor necklaces and testimonials that attest to the fact that Anchors carry a lot of meaning for people and help them to feel their own God-Given strengths! I always ask why and where did they find my jewelry on Etsy or a social media platform, right away with the first thank you message, because folks don't always leave a review. Handcrafting is awesome with meaning! This is from my customer in November:

“Your anchor necklace couldn’t be more perfect. My sister’s birthstone is Aquamarine, and she loves anchors for some reason. She has quotes and affirmations that have to do with anchors, and I wanted to find something nice for her for Christmas. I was searching Etsy for hours last night because I think handmade gifts are so much more special. Just knowing that someone took their time to create the item and put their heart into it makes it so much better than something purchased from a store. I actually handmade a gift for grandmother out of wood, and an iron tea light candle holder for my mother, but jewelry is not something I’ve ever tried my hand at. I came across dozens of anchors that had aquamarine colors, gems, etc. in them but as soon as I saw the one that you made I knew that I had to have it.”

Had a very slow November but my sales really picked up in December. I've been tweaking my descriptions and taking clearer pictures with better props. It does make a difference! I'm at 255 sales. I'm slowly but surely getting there! Very happy!
