Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I'm Julia and I recently opened a shop for my art stuff. I started listing last week and I just made my first sale! They found me using the search term "funny bathroom art" so those tags and titles are really important. I have also found that even though I don't have much a twitter following yet that I still get a few views with the right tags (#...). I also make sure to add a picture of the item with the tweet so it is not just a link to click on.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi! I'm a newcomer to Etsy. My shop was opened the beginning of the month, and I'm just starting to see how much thought and work this involves. I sell original paintings. Does anyone else sell higher priced paintings on this site? And what particular advice could you share that has resulted in getting sales here?

I really appreciate the quality of the work of so many of you. It's great to be here, amongst so much talent.

Hi! I've just realized that last week was my 8th Etsyversary! I didn't believe it had been that long.

And April 26th was the 9 months anniversary of my double lung transplant. Looks like I will make it through the first year!.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I just posted in the forum, but wanted to share here as well! I don't know where the time went, but I'm celebrating 8 years of spreading my little unique handmade creations around the globe via Etsy! I'm so thankful for this opportunity & although changes happen here, I'm like a tree, my roots are deep in the Etsy ground & I bend with the wind of change... it's been good to me.
I look forward to the next 8 years of creating & bringing folks a little bit of sparkle & joy with my work. Some of my appreciation photos in feedback have just melted my heart & encourage me to do more! It blows my mind to think when I've worked on something here in my small home studio & it's touched the heart of a girl in another town, state, or country. Isn't that truly magical?

To celebrate, I'm offering a coupon code on Facebook, because I really appreciate each & every person who has supported me on this journey.

If you'd like to see more work from Etsy old timer's like me that have been here for many years through all the changes because they're following their passion too, check out the 'Old Time Etsy' team & its members. You're likely to get great items & customer service from experienced members who are invested in what they do. I encourage everyone to follow your dream & do what you love!

I'm also going to treat myself to something frivolous & fun...window shopping now!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi Etsians
I started my business many years ago importing sterling silver jewellery, but retired a few years back, joined Etsy way back in 2010 had a break for a while and then reactivated my shop and finally the creative juices are flowing and I am really enjoying starting out all over again.

I am on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/veronicabcreations and Instagram and find them quite helpful in driving people over to Etsy.

Its a constant work in progress maintaining my store and I do wish I could get a few more sales under my belt and reviews I find it hard as often people don't seem to leave feedback!!

But all in all I am very glad I opened my store

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi all! I'm so happy to have found other stores sharing their successes.

I've been happily self employed for 2 years officially and the owner and founder of my own brand.

Love From Cyprus has been a dream to me, and I've successfully sustained myself, although some months are harder than others, since March 2014. Previous to that I was working 2 or 3 jobs alongside running my online business.

I love Etsy, although sometimes am a little sad when I see things get copied. I guess that's what open market means. Either way, I continue to create beautiful products and am steadily expanding my collection to include bags alongside my leather sandals collection.

Sharing knowledge, and learning from other sellers has been a real joy for me. I love learning more and find the challenge exciting.

I've had 1720 sales since I started, I'm super focused on reaching 2000.

Visit my store and tell me what you think, any advise is always welcome and appreciated.

Follow me on instagram and FB if you want to see how I run my social media marketing. Hope this was helpful to all of you.

Happy sales!!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello! My name is Tatyana. I'm from Russia. I do artistic painting with acrylic paints in the style of "point to point". My store was opened in March 2016 and I have two sales (4 pieces) for customers in the United States. All my products are made in one piece and is very popular with my clients in Russia. I would like to know things like whether or not I suggest buyers from other countries. Please advise!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi,
my name is Malgo and I'm an owner and creator of Whisper of the Pipit.
I am a doll artist. I create one-of-a-kind pieces from felt. I absolutely love my job.

My creative adventure started 2 years after my son was born. My little one was diagnosed with a rare condition preventing me going back to work.
Whisper of the Pipit was born in the Summer 2013.

I've been an Etsy member for 3 years now and couldn't be happier in my shop. I love being creative. I'm blessed with such a unique customers thanks to whom my artwork is as unique as they are!

My first year in business was quite difficult, like most of the starting shops I guess. Whisper of the Pipit didn’t start with a business plan and in fact I had very little background in business whatsoever. Rather than following the model of starting a new business, I just tried to apply common sense and research to figure things out as they came up. I have found that the best way of learning is by doing. Through the first two years, I continued to build Whisper of the Pipit by working late nights and weekends. Each new doll release received an enthusiastic response from the community and knowledge of the brand spread through word of mouth and online features very quickly. My dream of starting my own brand was no longer just a dream.

Today, I can proudly say that I have grown my little shop big enough that I don't have to spend much time promoting it. Many customers are coming back for more, which is the best thing ever! I love when a visitor sends me a message of appreciation about my art dolls, that gives me such a positive energy boost! I absolutely love my work and it shows in my artwork. My lovely customers comes from all around the World. My shop evolved so much within these 3 years. I stopped making some items and went in different direction. I always create new things and post them on my social media to see the reaction. The best part of my work are custom orders as they keep my creative juices flowing. There's never a dull moment in my shop.
