This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer
• Your shop was featured in the press or in social media
• You recently opened your shop
• You’re celebrating your Etsyversary

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I posted over 100 listings! This is a big milestone for me. I remember looking at shops with 100-300 listings, when I only had 20, and not being able to imagine how I could ever have that many. Now, 300 doesn't seem so unreachable. It's the 1000 listing mark that is unimaginable right now...

Another milestone is finally getting involved on Etsy team discussions, like this one. For many years, I was too self conscious to join the public discussions. But here I am, and here all you gorgeous people are. No big deal, and, at the same time, a personal little victory for me!

PS: I make wire wrapped tree of life jewelry, at RebelliousTrees. I welcome any feedback, if you feel like stoping by and sharing some thoughts on what you see. Thanks!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

This is great, I have sold 600 items after being opened since June 2013. Oh, what fun it has been helping people get the perfect gift, replace a broken item or something they grow up with. Thanks for the experience ETSY Community.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Celebrating small successes - I've made my 2nd sale for 2016 within the first quarter (last year I only had 2 sales for the entire year.) :-)
I've also been averaging 200 views per month on Etsy.

Goals for April - get closer to 50 item listings and reach 75 admirers!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

After a lot of encouragement and nudging from a dear friend and shop owner, I opened my shop a little over a month ago. Opening felt really big to me and definitely celebratory. I've made a few sales which felt wonderful, especially the first sale from someone I didn't know.

I'm working diligently on listing more and more items, learning a lot of business tips and the regular ins and outs of Etsy. It feels a bit overwhelming because this is all so new to me but I'm excited to be learning so many good things. Joining this team seems like a really good way to learn even more.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I recently opened my shop.
Im almost fully stocked in my first category.
Im proud of myself for starting and opening my shop after 2yrs of dreaming about it. Working hard at it the last few mths and designing creating and finding my first passion rhythms.
Now im in second stabilizing phase not just financially pausing but wrapping up my jewelry lines with a grande finale private luxe collection, but knowing its okay to grow in connection now, ease back on the creative push and give a few months healthy pausing before my next category begins.
Im so close to my first sales. I can feel it. So far all positive reviews from what has been seen as others catch the vision Ive been sharing. :)
I'm proud of myself for the #listings in my shop put up most genuinely of my best given and accomplished in a few mths and #opening shop which i dreamt up for about 2yrs prior. Im doing it now and its so therapeutic and it really is my Creative baby.

I truly look forward to learn and grow with other more experienced etsiers now!:)

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I have now officially been on Etsy for 6 years!

In that time I was able grow my home business specializing in table runners.

I have over 1,600 sales. I have had my creations in NJ & PA boutiques. I have done several craft fairs and have worked closely with countless Etsy buyers thru Etsy convo to customize their orders.

I love working with my buyers and personally shopping for them for fabrics of their choices!

They give me an idea of what color, concept or theme they need and then I go shopping for them! I send them pictures of choices and they get to personally pick their fabric choice for their custom order!f

My current project is buying a beach them runner for a Facebook follower who reached out to me.

I have every holiday in inventory and all the colors of the rainbow and more to offer my buyers.

I have had to shut down my business to catch up on orders and even delist listings to manage how much I offer to lower sales.

I need to hire help or look for manufacturing to keep up sometimes with demand but have not officially done that just yet.

Etsy has take me to the next next level and it just keeps helping me grow with more services they are providing their sellers.

I was able to perosnlly go visit the Brooklyn headquarters and meet the CEO and sit with many members of the staff to discuss best practices, give feedback and ask for some improments like more sections!:)

This was an amazing experience and seeing the behind the scenes operations helped me understand exactly how Etsy operates.

My current goal is find a manufacture that is a good fit for my business to help me grow even more. This is a huge next step and one I am taking my time as it involves handing over my process.

These past 6 years on Etsy have been exciting for a stay at home mom of three!

#smallbusiness #stayathomemom #homebusiness #handmade

Sincerely,
Michele
Shop Owner since April 2010

On Etsy I of 2015 years. Opening the shop for me is a great thing .... excitement and joy.

I love natural materials and unique ideas. What makes me most happy is when my products find its owner. Each piece is made with lots of love and of course, made for a special person.

I was excited at the mine was 100 sales and I am grateful to the Etsy.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I just reached 400 admirers. While sales have tanked during the last half of March and into April (I'm set to have my first week with no sales since I first opening my shop a year and a half ago), reading the success stories on here is renewing my hope.

My shop is pretty small and has only been open a couple of weeks but I have two sales! I got the email for the first one at 1AM and I immediately woke up my husband to tell him. Not sure he appreciated that lol

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I'm new to this team, new to Etsy, and even pretty new to jewelry making... I opened my shop three days ago. I'm celebrating finding a passion and a talent and going for it, full steam ahead. This is the most excited I have been in... roughly forever.
I have no sales yet, but my shop isn't even fully stocked or set up to my liking so there will be time for that. :)
Also I'm celebrating figuring out how to make a picture header that I like... that's today's accomplishment.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I'm celebrating because after a month and a half of working towards it, I finally made my first sale yesterday! It also happened to be one of the most expensive items in my shop, so it's nice to know that my prices aren't too high. I'm really hoping that this first sale will lead to many more.

I now have 150 admirers of my shop. And so far this year have been averaging a sale per month. That is an improvement though still not keeping up with expenses.
