This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer
• Your shop was featured in the press or in social media

Wish I would sell something. Been on for about 5 years now and only sold 3 products.

This may seem like a crazy thing to celebrate, but I closed my shop for 10 days and didn't worry about it being the right or wrong decision. I enjoyed my family and my down time and now my battery is recharged. I'm refreshed and ready to start anew.

I am celebrating the end of 2015 (my worst year on Etsy--- my fault.)

I would just like to celebrate the fact that I am still here!!! I started my shop in July 2013 and never dreamed it would take off! It has been difficult with an outside job but I've managed to hang in there and to even grow a bit! Wishing us all many happy sales with plenty of returning customers!!!

My personal goal before the end of the year has been completed. I wanted to reach 50 sales by Dec 31st and it happened! Hoping I get 50 more by the end of 2016!

I'm finally branching out into social media. Even though I've had my shop open for a few years, I'm still such a newbie!

Yay! Made my 2,000th sale overnight (and hit 8,450 sales in my other jewelry shop last night!) Happy 2016!

My goal for 2015 was to reach 200 sales...three hours before midnight New Year's Eve I had my 200th sale :)

(Okay so it's not 2000th or 20000th but it means a lot to me!)

No matter how much we are reporting them, this thread seems to be handed over to spammers. And mostly the same spammers every single day. Very annoying.
I don't understand why the biggest team on Etsy has no active moderators, who take their members seriously and guard the integrity of the team's forum.

I made my 100th sale in December 2015. I am so grateful to have reached my goal of 100 sales in 2015, and I am incredibly excited to set some new goals for 2016 :) Happy 2016, everyone! :D

I'm celebrating my goal of 6000 Pinterest followers. I reached it a few days into the new year, but I'm grateful to have them. Pinterest is a HUGE traffic source for my shop.

I'm celebrating making my 100th sale! My goal when I opened my shop was to make 100 sales the first year and I still have over two months to go!

This has been a huge accomplishment for me as I juggle my Etsy shop with raising two young children and finishing my bachelors degree (which I also just completed!).

I have just finished re-doing all of my photos, re-thinking my prices, and re-working some of the language in my item information areas!

I still need to learn more about SEO, but that comes next...

Hopefully this will all help me get past my single sale so far to my goal of 2 items a week.

I reached my 2015 goal on ETSY - I had 50 sales! I bet I could have done better had I more time to put into it.

Now on to 2016 and developing new models of phone cases and writing more tutorials!

I have my shop since 2011 . I don't sell to much, but I love my hobby to make felt quiet books and banners for kids. I decided not to close my shop, but to continue. maybe this year will be great!

We just opened our shop a couple months ago and it started off with a sale within our first week. After making the first sale, it made us want to make even bigger and better lamps for our future projects. So far we made another two more sales at the end of 2015 and hope the new year brings in even better projects and customers to share the year with!

Success has many definitions.

I also wonder, though, why the moderators don't do anything about it.

I just hit 1000 sales!

When I fist began my shop, I wondered if I would sell anything. Though the income is important, for me it is more about being appreciated for my love of making pottery. The more I sell, the more I am able and inspired to create.

Some weeks/months are really slow, but I try to be patient and find some way of improving my listings or the appearance of shop while I am waiting for a sale. Or I put some energy into my Etsy teams and support other sellers. Keeping a positive outlook seems to go a long way toward being successful.

I am feeling blessed and grateful!
