This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

I create shadowbox pieces, filling boxes with paper or canvas designs featuring poetry or phrases or wordless sentiments.

I opened Homegrown Shadowboxes in May (in a round-about way beginning with keychains, if you can believe it). In June, I began posting my first shadowbox pieces, and then read everything I could about how to operate within Etsy successfully. Patience was one of the key attitudes everyone said to adopt because it takes months and months to break through in this crowded marketplace. I'm still adopting patience.

BUT, I did make a sale very early on, selling one of my boxes to a customer who wanted a gift for a music-loving friend, and I will never forget the cash-register sound I heard the evening the order came through. I have sold just four other boxes since, and a few keychains, and unfortunately my phone was set to vibrate each time, or the order was handled in person.

So, here I sit, waiting to hear "cha-ching" with as much patience as I can muster.

I have already registered more than a year on Etsy. During this time I have only two sales and positive feedback. Now I have 16 products in the store, and I plan to add more new products, because the potential for large and strong desire. I want to grow with and develop their Etsy store and increase sales.
I do not speak in English, but I hope that everyone will understand me. :)))

hello everyone!!

My name is Beverly and 3 weeks ago I opened my shop @virtuous yarn. 3 years ago I got married and came to live in Lima, Peru and here nearly everyone knows to do some kind of craft.. I found myself surrounded by talented women who inspired me to want to venture in the crochet world. And here I am today, a milestone for me for I never thought I would ever learn to crochet and now I have even opened my shop, Thanks to so many wonderful persons who value my work I was able to accomplish this. I haven't had a sale as yet, which I hope it comes soon (lol) but just the whole etsy experience is so valuable to me!!!! =)

Almost at 500 sales after 9 months, though there's been a lot outside of Etsy too. It's starting to get a little stressful, lots of people doing their Christmas shopping so I have a million things to do but so worth it. I love Etsy <3

I'm 3 sales away from reaching 200! My goal had been 100 orders for so long that it feels surreal to be close to 200! It feels overwhelming sometimes trying to figure out the ins and outs of Etsy, but so worth it. Tonight I'm feeling proud and excited!

I opened my shop on September 3rd of this year. I received my first order on October 15th. I am so excited! I'm making a lot of new products to stock the "shelves" and I look forward to my first holiday season.

Thanks for all the wonderful selling tools provided by Etsy. I'm working on implementing them and growing my shop.
