This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

Today, September 14th, is my one year Etsyversary!!!!!!!!

I started this Etsy shop many years ago. Mainly as a hobby to sell my Art...I was a muralist doing well at the time and wanedt an outlet for non-commissioned smaller art pieces. I got busy last year working on my shop to be my main income source. I am way to old anymore to climb ladders and scaffolding. 2 weeks ago I started a real surge to get my favorites up and set a goal of 2000 for 30 days by the end of September. I am resetting my goal to 10,000 because I now have 5,655....I know?????? You have to work for it guys, you have to work for it. One thing at a time. Took me many years, when all the info is offered....just got to read it and go to work.

I'm new to Etsy, just opened my store two weeks ago and still learning.

I'm selling easy to clean placemats that I designed but currently have just 6 designs, is that a problem?

I tried to promote on Etsy but it didn't work, why?

I would like to make a buy 5 pay for 4 sale, how can I do this?

Hi, I just joined the team. I'm a new seller too. I opened my shop at the end of August. I am a graphic designer and on Etsy I am specializing in Etsy shops' design needs like banners, avatars, business cards, logos, etc.

I am celebrating my first sale on Etsy that was yesterday. Yeah! I loved it when I received an email from Etsy congratulating me on my first sale, with an image of a bottle of champagne!! I only regret that I miss my first cha-ching sound (I was out grocery shopping).

I joined this team because yesterday I watched the Etsy live seminar "Ace social media" and I learned so many things! The hosts were very engaging.

This is my story. I hope to find here many answers to my questions, and to be able to help others with the things that I learned so far.

Celebrating 400 listings today since I've added 100 Halloween items to the shop. This is a first for me & was so much work! Feeling so thankful for my family helping to make it possible. Going to celebrate by now catching up on the laundry. :)

I retired frommy secular job. I always loved nature and wanted to make a prodcut the I can be proud of. i have been making Natural wax candles, for many, many years. use to sell at bazzar's and craft shows. I really love the way this Etsy family works together. My daughter has a great shop on Etsy, and I have watched her grow, through the years. Its a great and inspiring place. I opened my shop, in March of this year. Not doing so good yet...but not bad either, but I have my vision, of making this work for me, and I know great things will happen. I am looking foward, to the next phase, of my life and business. I wish every one of you, much success and prosperity.

I receive the most wonderful feedback from a lovely customer who purchased one of my Op art vases. She purchased the piece as a wedding present for a couple who owns a Mid Century home in Seattle. It made my week!

I'm so happy to have surpassed 215 sales recently... it feels like a minor milestone at best, I'm sure... but it's a big deal to me! My next major (again, to me) milestone will be 225... I'm so happy to be getting so much closer to reaching it.

2 days ago I should have celebrated my 7th Etsyversary! I let it pass without celebrating! ACK! Also, I am just 9 sales (according to etsy calculations) short of 700 sales! YAY!

I will however be closing shop for a few weeks. Silly me tore the small tendon off my shoulder & I go into surgery and recovery for 6 weeks. :-(

Nice to be my own boss, but difficult when its smack in the middle of busy season. Regardless, I have a few shops on Etsy & have stuck through so many changes.

I love etsy & even though I venture here and there - Etsy seems to be where I keep landing!

I opened my shop late June selling handmade hair accessories.

I'm so excited I just got my 10th sale!
I also recently signed up for my first craft show that will be held in November, so I have to make a lot of stock.

I'm hopeful for even more, especially with this holiday season!
