This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales

Congrats to all the 1st and second sales and milestone sales, Christine, Joe and Josie, and Iris- these are so important as they make one feel like the plunge was not so foolish after all-on my seventh sale after a month and I know each sale is an affirmation for me and gives me energy to push on to do this crazy thing :) Good luck and positive energy to all of us!

I am a new member on etsy. I am a visual artist my medium is watercolor and acrylic. I also paint on wood and smaller pieces. I started my shop in June 26th of this year. I have not made any sales yet hope soon!

Really feel encouraged after reading all responses in this celebration thread. I am new to Etsy. Open since June 2015. No sale yet...but after tweaking my tags a little one of my items showed up on google search. Keeping my hopes alive. For now I am selling beaded jewelry. I make my jewelry with a passion to create.

I have been a seller on etsy since 2008. I sell handmade jewelry with a southwestern flair that I make on my ranch near Dallas. I LOVE etsy as my home business has allowed me to live the life of my dreams. This is the first time that I shared with a group so I am celebrating that today!!!

Hello everyone! I'm quite new to the team. I joined Etsy in 2010 whilst I was out of work, selling my cat pictures and later needlefelting (a craft I discovered through Etsy). Eventually I had to wind things down due to personal circumstances, but last month I finally re-opened my Etsy shop with a big Master Plan. As I'm frequently travelling in my full time job which doesn't give me as much time to draw as I'd like (and also as I get a bit upset selling my original artwork, and wanted to give more people the chance to own my pictures) stage one was to offer Giclée prints - 4 sales (2 of which were custom orders) within a few weeks of re-opening enabled me to get some prints made! I've now sold 4 prints, and have been able to move on to the next stage of my plan which was to buy a button badge making machine, and I'm finalising my designs and packaging for badge sets. A few more sales and I'll be able to move on to the third stage, which will be hand-stitched notebooks - I've sourced my materials and am perfecting my stitching skills, so hopefully I'll be ready to go ahead with them when my next sales have enabled me to buy a couple of tools I need.
So I guess my celebration is re-opening with a careful, staged, Master Plan so I can keep control of running my shop whilst working long hours and crazy shifts in my full time job - and so far it all seems to be working! I even plucked up the courage to show my prints to a couple of B&M galleries, and both want to stock them! 😸

Today I had my 60th order in my illustration shop, to a repeat customer! This month I'm also celebrating that I've been nominated for the Etsy Design Awards Germany. Yay!

After 4 years of working hard, learning about social media, teaching myself (with the help of amazing team members) the ins and outs of SEO, producing new product designs, improving my photography ..... I just made my 200th sale. I know it doesn't sound like much compared to other shops but I am delighted!

I believe that a bag is an investment and don't mind paying extra for great quality leather, the design of a bag should be timeless but fashionable, the beauty and quality of the materials should make most of the impact.
All of my leather products are %100 HANDMADE with %100 real leather.

Hello. I'm quite new to Etsy. My store opened August 18, 2015. Now very little explanation, but I love my job. I hope my engraved glass you might like. Today I am celebrating five years of being breast cancer free. I have a new chance to make art and make sales on Esty. I want to spend more time making art, I love it. Not a lot of sales yet, but I trying .

Hello, I started my shop recently August 17th. Im still in the process of updating my shop policy and about me page. I participate at forums and the advice of members are so helpful for a new comer like me. Successful sellers here will help you in any way they can to set up your shop.
