This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order

I designed a knitting ring, a few years ago, for a lady who had difficulty knitting because of her arthritis. I designed a few knitting rings for her and now she's been knitting up a storm.
So I decided to include this knitting ring in my Etsy shop. I've now designed 4 other knitting ring styles which are all in my shop.

NEWS FLASH - Now I'm celebrating that my 2 loop knitting ring will be in Simply Knitting magazine in the U.K. this Fall. That makes it 5xs that my knitting rings have been in UK and USA knitting magazines.
And usually it's been a request, from a magazine editor who has found me via Etsy.

I am sooo psyched! I got over 80 views and 5 favorites in my shop today! I happen to have an oversized scarf in my shop and it's showing up in the "similar items" of the blanket scarf in the Etsy trends/ finds e-mail! YAY!! Really happy!!!! Hopefully it sells soon :-D Let me know what you think of the listing please!

Celebration #2 is that I purchased 5 sheep, since January 2015, for families in Ghana through the sale of my knitting rings on Etsy.

I put $ towards the purchase of sheep for every knitting ring sold through my Etsy shop. We live in a world where so many people need help to support their families. 5 sheep and counting!!!

I am a newbie to Etsy in the last couple of months. I currently am painting fun things on canvas using acrylics.

My milestones are: I made my first sale recently and it was a custom order.

I am looking forward to learning for the group here and working to promote my site as well as sell my 2nd item!

I am a new seller on Etsy, my shop is Vintage Tea Cupboard and I sell antique teacups and other china items. I have been open for 4 days now and I have 3 admirers, 35 views, and 79 favourites! I can't wait for my first sale:)
I have also joined many teams, I love the sense of community on Etsy!

My first show, it's exciting for me!!

I opened my shop almost one year ago, selling hand-spun yarns, spinning fiber bats and unique hand-knits. I FINALLY listed 200 items in my shop!

Well, I'm a weird one in that my shop attempts to satisfy the customer who wants/needs the written word for a speech/ tribute to celebrate important events such as weddings, milestone birthdays, etc. I'm just two years old with 25 sales. That's not much, I know, but I love to do this and the customer response has been so kind and valued by me. I question, tho, how I could put key words to better use. I feel like more people would consider this ( the expense is low for something entirely custom ) if they could find. It or see it. Any ideas for me!
