This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop

I'm celebrating because I have now reached double digit sales on my etsy shop! I've had a lot of success on facebook now I'm finally seeing more on etsy!!

I just got my inventory in my shop up to 50! Soon to be 51 as I go back and recover the piece I meant to copy and actually over-wrote.

But yay 50. I expect to be found so much more often in the searches. That is what they promise, right? 50 is so much better than 49? Right?

Hello!! My name is Amanda and I am the shop owner of VintageAmour120. Vintage Amour specializes in vintage and antique furniture and home decor, as well as custom pieces. My shop has been open for almost a year (July 31st) and I have already made a few milestones! I cannot believe it!

Since opening, I have made only a few sales but have learned so much along the way. I am currently still working on getting myself to be more active within social media... which has led to my Etsy shop/FB page to be featured by General Finishes. I also recently made 2 sales (one being my absolute favorite, most expensive, and hardest item to sell online due to freight shipping) to the same woman who requested that I deliver to her. I am thrilled by her interest in my work and excited to meet one of my clients!

Congrats on your first order, Valentine! That's brave of you to offer international shipping when first opening your shop. I himmed and hawed about it for 7 months, but I finally started shipping to Canada. Just sent my first package to Canada, and it was super EZ!

Hi everyone. I'm celebrating because I have had my first sale! My shop has been open a couple of months maybe. It was an international sale too! Yey! This is my second shop. I also have one for Bears on which the sales are slow but steady. I love Etsy.

Reached over 1300 views and over 300 favorites within 7 days!!!

A lot of them are coming from outside the hearting and clicking games. Now I'm waiting for the first sales after all these clicks. :)

Hmmm..I am interested in promoting this incredible master artist...who has no computer...this facebook page was set up by a fellow artist who is also trying to promote him and his more than fifty years of work ( including the miniature sculpture of that eagle that became the holograph on your visa card)

I Hand Paint Silk and sell mainly scarves. I am in New Zealand so do a lot of Kiwiana ( New Zealand orientated ) designs as people like to give them as gifts to firnds and family overseas.
I had a few scarves on Etsy for a few year with nothing happening but then last week I made my first sale and a Kiwi Scarf is on it's way to England. So am going to try and up the ante abit and put up more items. Any other helpful sugestions would be much appreciated.

KiwiSilks, I suggest filling out your storefront to show a good selection (yours is looking great, this is what I would say to anyone), renew items at various times to find when people are looking, join teams and forums to connect. You just need a few people to take your pieces and spread the word. My friends and I can't figure out if promoting the items helps or not. Try it. The purchasing seems to have an ebb and flow. I'm no expert but I make furniture which is not easy to sell online and I am gaining in success.

Hi everyone!

My name is Sophia, and I am brand new to Etsy. I produce art by way of watercolor paintings and photography. I have already been very active on Pinterest, Wordpress and Instagram and hope that these social platforms will help fuel my shop...however I know it's a process and that patience and hard work will pay off in a big way here (as they do in most other places, right?).
