This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

Hi Everyone!

I am new to Etsy and really looking forward to trying this new (to me) venue. I have just opened my shop CousineauArt.etsy.com.

Any advise or guidance is welcome. I have been a top seller on ebay from 1997 on. I am excited to learn all I can about selling on Etsy. At the moment I find the whole advertising, tags, etc. a bit confusing which is why I joined my first team.

I am so happy to have sold my first item last week! Then the next day I sold my second item! I know that my business can only go up from here! I am excited to start making more products and adding more listings to my page! It is so enjoyable to me that having a few of my products be sold on the internet just gives me another boost of hope that I can make something out of my business!

Hi Everyone! My name is Shannon and my store shannonsoddsnends has been open since January of 2013.

When i started, my first 25+orders were crochet items all ordered from personal friends and i got under 10 views a day, The highlight of my day was getting a favorite. I started doing some research and discovered how to properly tag and label posts and slowly started seeing the views and favorites increase. But I realized if I ever wanted to see this as MORE than a hobby I needed to start treating it like a business.

So I started branching out. I purchased a lighting kit, some backgrounds a decent camera and expanded my product line. I now sell nerdy necklaces, hair bows, tutu's monthly baby stickers and more.

BUT, my milestone is finding a product that no one has. There are similar items but nothing quite like what I have. This past weekend I posted my very first set of "First Day of Kindergarten" stickers. I only have 3 sets for now but this next weekend is all about designing and posting and I'm hoping to see them take off.

Thanks for inviting me to the team and I can't wait to find more advice and tips to make my dream of quitting my day job a reality!!

Yea! Just passed the 40 sales mark with 3 in May for a total of 42 PLUS 2 in person custom orders on Sell Now (which I think aren't counted in the Etsy
Total.)

New goal -- 50 by June!

We opened our shop in February and since then have seen a steady increase in our visibility. We've had a few sales, and each day, we seem to get more visitors to our shop and our listings. That is a great feeling. We love being able to see geographically where our potential customers are shopping from! We are working on adding more photos to our listings and changing up the style of photos to add more variety and an organic feel. We know a highly successful online presence won't happen over night, and each new order brings a huge sense of celebration!
