This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

This happened back around Christmas time but I was selected to be interviewed live on television for a segment on an upcoming Christmas market in Charlotte by a local morning news show.

Finally, after almost a week straight of typing in listings I have reached 100 listings in my shop!!! That's a lot of vintage patterns to describe. 2015 is looking to be a very good year.

( PLEASE ZOOM IN TO SEE THE FULL EFFECTS AND COLOURS )

Encapsulating all the personality of the Premier range, but created by using paints with a higher pigment content on specially prepared glass, the Delux Range emphasises vibrancy, contrast and style. Embracing a sense of natural chaos, they make a bold statement in any, post-modern setting.

Fashionable and affordable, the eye-catching designs of these hand-made clocks are far from conventional. Each, unique piece fuses flourishes of colour to produce an effect that can be anything from boisterous to enigmatic. These clocks are an attention-grabbing focal point for any home or office.

They come with a silent sweeping mechanism and ready to hang or we have an optional 'Oak base plate' for those that require a free standing desk/window sill clock.
Measurements - 24" x 6"

Each of these pieces are completely unique and handmade by myself.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

My name is Darlene, I opened a shop with my neighbor 3 years. We split after a year and I opened my own shop. For you newbies, when I first started my new shop I was frustrated because it took soooo long to get consistent traffic to my shop. Now, after 2 years of being opened, I just sold my 400th item. Business is constant and I am enjoying the journey. Thank you, Etsy Teams and members you rock.

God Best for ALL,
Darlene

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I've been with Etsy for a month or so and I've sold a couple of items, and I'm excited about that. I joined this team and plan to post a lot of comments and maybe a few questions as well. I hope there are those that will step in to help when I do. Lately, I've been trying to build up my shop inventory, see what other members have in their shops (impressive), and working on getting a decorative banner put up with my shop name (which may change at some point down the road) and what we (my wife and I) normally specialize in -- and it's not one thing. Let's put it this way -- we dabble in a lot of things, we collect what we like, keep it , admire it, and pass it forward. We're stewards of most of these items -- not owners. I hope you all feel the same.

Hi, Yes its such a learning curve, the photographing ,the wording just learning it all. I don't get heaps of lookers and it did take months to get the first sale but it was like it opened the way and now I have had 23 sales which is great.
I hope I'm successful because this is me and I love the process.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

This month we celebrate our 4 year anniversary. Learned a lot and worked hard to have a 5 Star rating, with lovely comments. It's been a rewarding time and have met people from all around the world. We've sold over 1600 items.

Thinking of a special promotion for the last weekend in April. Any ideas?

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello everyone, I'm Kathy and I've been selling on etsy for 4 years. I have over 100 sales which doesn't seem like much for four years but I sell custom quilts which don't have a very fast turn around! lol

I am always looking for new ideas to help market and increase traffic for my shop and hope to learn here. For you newbies don't get frustrated. It takes time for traffic to flow and customers to know who you are. I look forward to learning from you all and if I can help in any way don't hesitate to ask!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Greetings everyone,
I'm new to the this team. My mother and I opened our shop after my brother proposed to my now sister-in-law. Lynette has been a jeweler and goldsmith for about 20 years but never focused on designing engagement rings. After my brother proposed she said to me, "Why don't people ask me make their engagement and wedding rings?" My simple answer was, "Because people don't know that you can."

In about one month we will have had the shop open for one year. It's amazing how time flies.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened my shop Feb.5, 2015. It was a very spontaneous decision and I'll explain why:
After my baby daughter was born I felt an urge to create, and now that she's two, I have a little more time and many activities we can do together - she's drawing her things while I draw mine.
So I began creating things that I was hoping to sell also. And Etsy was a natural decision https://www.etsy.com/shop/Kurozka. Now two months have passed and I have already had 6 sales. It is quite satisfying for me as I did not hope for fast results.
I keep on reading all your tips and keep working on presentation of my creations.

Once you're sure that you are offering a valid product - presentation becomes the key.
