This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

May be a very small accomplishment, but it is an accomplishment nonetheless. I got my very first sale on ETSY!!!! Wow, it feels great to say that :) I surely did not expect for it to be so soon seeing as I have just recently opened up shop, but I am so excited. Now to keep adding items in hopes of making more sales!

Hello, Im not really new to Etsy. My store Threadofthree has been open since 2012, but it was completely part-time. Now, I have much more time on my hands to devote to his being a successful full-time business. I just need LOTS of help.

Currently I sell baby items and accessories. I would like to sell more items, but I just don't know how to market the items I currently have listed in the shop. Should I just list everything I have? Should I close the store momentarily to get my marketing, finances, inventory together? Im at a crossroads and need lots of help.

I absolutely love the positivity!! I makes me want to keep going!

We are new to selling on ETSY. My husband joined back in 2012 and never really got in to it. Now, he restarted selling here and we made our 1st sale. He takes care of the computer work and does all the cutting with the scroll saw pieces. I love working in the shop also but my job doesn't allow me much time for that part, I can usually only do the painting. I hope this pays off enough I can quit my day job and only do crafting work.

Just had my first craft fair and actually sold some things! I was hoping for better sales, but apparently everyone selling fashion accessories had a slow day. People seemed to like my booth and everyone commented on how lovely the set up was. I'm so glad that I took the plunge and started selling things that I make.

I reside in the U.S.A. Since the International Postage Prices increases ... I, actually, made several International sales. Today, I had my first multiple purchase, since the increase, from the same buyer, whom resides in The Netherlands. And, to think that I was contemplating to selling to buyers within the U.S.A., only ... from Worldwide (because of current International postage prices). This would have been the worst move, for me, to had made! I'm, actually, making more from sales from International Countries, than I am from within the U.S.A. Sorry, to the International Countries, for doubting your continued interest in buying, from the U.S.A. And, thank you, for your patronage. ♥

I started on Etsy back in 2009 with my first shop, Hello World Paper Co., but my second shop, Hello World Stamps which opened in Jan. of 2014, has become super successful as well and I'm so happy! I was even able to quit my day job in May of 2014!! WHOO HOO!!! I'm thrilled that Etsy has helped me to work from home and spend more time with my three boys.

However, success did not come overnight. It took long hours and lots of hard work. I know I work harder now than I ever did at my "day job", but it is so worth it! So for anyone just starting out and reading this, keep with it!! You got this!

I also help small businesses with branding, running an Etsy shop, and marketing materials so if anyone needs branding work, Etsy help, stationery, or a stamp with their logo for their Etsy shop just contact me!
