This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer
• Your shop was featured in the press or in social media

I recently got a sale after a hiatus in November and some of December that had me discouraged, because I was expecting better sales. It helped me gain renewed confidence in my shop, and encouraged me to get up about 10 more listings! I realize that I need to put time into this again, because it is what I love to do, and I love the etsy community!

I opened my shop, La Ti D'Art, last September and thought I wouldn't even be noticed but I had a couple of sales around Christmas to my surprise! I am forging ahead with even more fortitude and with the help of other sellers on ETSY....now if I could only understand the Pinterest thing....my next challenge.

I'm celebrating the success that I've been able to reopen my shop after the death of my dad last month. I need something to keep me sane. It's a small accomplishment compared to some I've read in this thread but it's HUGE to me.

Here we are to celebrate!!! We managed to create our Valentine's collection with a deadline of this week and it was completed by Wednesday. Very proud of ourselves and we got 2 admirers and 3 favorites. We now only need some sales ;-)

I've been sick most of this week, my husband gave me his cold, so I haven't put a lot of effort into Etsy. I checked my page this morning and there is nothing like a sale to make you feel better! Off I ran to the post office and the box was shipped before noon. Sale #2! Yay!

My first post to this team. I've been open little over 6 weeks started slow, but I am doing better every day. 17 sales 5 stars and 134 items. I sell vintage collectibles from $5 to $2500. I try to post 3 to 5 items a day.
I am now aiming for 150 items and 25 sales this month.

I have not yet made any sales and I need to post more items I have recently completed, but I surpassed fifteen page views today and also had an item "Favorited"! It's the small things!

I've been dreaming of the day I could say this...I made my first true organic sale since opening in October! I've made a few other sales but just to family and friends so this is the first sale to a person I don't know! YAY!!! (plus I'm getting a puppy tomorrow! best day ever :)

Hey all,

I enjoy reading all of these encouraging and, for some, monumental moments being shared here.

I'm lucky enough to have found this website, and this particular community, and I opened shop two days ago and had my first purchase yesterday. It was such a rush when I received the email and it felt both rewarding and gratifying that someone thought my handmade art was worthy of their time and money.

It was truly a milestone for me. I know I have a lot to learn and I can't wait to dive in and truly develop myself personally and professionally. I can't wait to read more about everyones success stories.
