This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

I open my shop a little over 4 years ago, I do lapidary and silver work, also custom knives.

A few months ago I thought about a brick and mortar store but decided that wasn't the right course. Then the light came on and I made the decision to expand my Etsy shop.

I will be offering Rock and Gem related handcrafted items and supplies for other artist.

My feedback is positive, I am a stickler on customer service and satisfaction.

I have over 200 followers and I follow over 300, with 102 admirers, I would like some advice on how to increase these numbers.

My sales average has been 10% with a small inventory, my goal is 20% and dramatically increase inventory.

I would like to welcome everyone to my shop!

Over 500 views in 1 day!!! Yeah I am so excited! After feeling like maybe opening a shop wasn't the best idea, I have over 500 views today and am so excited to keep plugging forward!

I opened my first Etsy shop last week and got my first ever sale! very happy. I'm just discovering all the online groups, support and invaluable advice out there. After becoming jaded with my job and making candles for over a year -mainly giving them to family as gifts i'm looking forward to moving forward. I hope everyone has a great 2015!

I started selling on etsy in September 2014, after selling on eBay for almost 3 years. I am currently selling hand painted magnets and shelf sitters, along with hand knitted animals. So far I have sold 6 items, and have received positive feedback. I would welcome any suggestions. Thanks!

Yeah! Made my 100th sale,... and only realised a few days later!

What a steep learning curve the last 14 months have been since opening the Etsy shop. A great journey and I am looking forward to more.
Planning more costumes in 2015 and a couple of limited edition kids clothing items.

And hopefully, I'll have enough capacity to target an Etsy pop-up shop next year too! Will keep you posted.

I opened my shop in November this year and made 5 sales so far. One of them is international, I'm amazed that someone on the other side of the world will be getting one of my necklaces for Christmas!! I can't wait to grow my shop in the next year :)

I am one of those who did it "the other way": I quit my day job as soon as I decided to open an etsy store. Even then, it took me months to do it. I did a lot of reading, watched videos, checked out everything before I joined this wonderful community and still have a long way to go.

Today, I am celebrating my very first sale and I know the only people who can understand are my fellow etsy sellers (my mom didn't sound very enthusiastic, not sure if she doesn't get it or she was just annoyed I called her at 8 A.M. on a Sunday morning...)

I am stressed and excited at the same time imagining the things I make by myself in my little, colorful studio reaching their new homes far far away :)

I know I have a lot of reading/ tweaking to do but first, let's take a moment to do the happy dance!

I'm relatively new to Etsy and have only recently opened my store. I have been dreaming of opening a store and selling my art and designs for as long as I can remember. Recently I lost my job because the store closed down so I was forced to stop procrastinating and to start living my dream. I had my first sale a few days ago and was over the moon excited! Hello there!

I am new to this thread. My name is Ishka and I paint mystical mythical magical worlds! I am also a mother of a 2-yr-old, so selling online is something I am really striving towards to be self-sufficient and grow my business. :)

I just started promoting my shop on ETSY with the automated ad campaign this last month, and I gained almost $150 in revenue from only $35 in ads! That seems pretty sweet to me.
