Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

Hi,
Congrats on your successes, all.

I wanted to pop up and celebrate how my Etsy shop helps me grow my business. Even if I don't generate as many sales on Etsy as I'd like, it makes my work visible, which creates opportunities. I live in a small community, and often people look online, but approach me in person to do art commissions.

This week a friend who runs a juice bar was checking out my Etsy page on her laptop when the owner of an upmarket gift shop came in for a juice. She saw my work and was super-enthusiastic about it. I've since met her and she's agreed to stock it on a consignment basis and we're both pretty excited about working together.

Without my Etsy page, it would be SO MUCH HARDER to promote my work. Thank you :-)

Sold my first item last month and two this week !!! I am very excited I hope this will continue and I will get more and more sales soon.

We've talked about it forever and finally took the leap to selling on Etsy. We've been open since Nov 4th. We've already reached the first goal of 10 sales. But, what means more to me than anything else is the 3 sales and 2 feedbacks that we received from people that are not friends or family. I have been tweaking the shop a little everyday as well as adding new listings fairly consistently. I've been using FB to promote the shop even more.

I've think setting small goals that are more achievable is more encouraging than trying to look at the big picture. I've made a few mistakes especially with trying to fine tune shipping. There is much to learn, but the experience is awesome.

I just surpassed 400 sales!!! My goal for the end of the year was to reach 400!!! Im so excited to reach this new milestone! 1000 here I come : )

I am celebrating my 302 items sold since opening up in June 2013. I am so happy that business is picking up. I have 474 items currently listed, just 26 more to reach my goal of 500 before Christmas.

I'm almost there!!! My goal was to reach 20 sales by this Christmas and I just hit 19!!! Soooo close!!! yay! I'm excited!

I mailed out 2 orders today, one of them was a 4 necklace custom order. I had a whole "druzy collection" planned, and she bought it out before I posted it! which, not complaining. Although side-question for anyone, for custom orders, do you have to clump all items as one order like I did or is there a convenient way for the customer to purchase all separately so it's better for sales standpoint?

While my "store" has been open since 2012, I've never utilized it for anything. At all! My work is interior design and I only recently (after a local craft fair I signed up for) decided to sell handmade signs, jewelry and bath items in my etsy store. I've been officially operating the store for a week and have 5 sales! Small potatoes for most but a huge accomplishment for me. I'm loving this so far!
