Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I made my first ever physical and online sales a week ago today. Not just one item, but a set of ten online and twenty to a local florist and trinket shop. Over the moon!

Would anyone recommend pinterest as a good form of promotion?

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi, my name is Deb Lindstrom, and I am in the process of opening my shop on Etsy.

I have only been here about a month, and with only five items listed so far, don't expect much in the way of sales yet .

I have sold on Etsy before, and did sell the kinds of items I am listing in my one shop now, so I've had some past success (more than I expected) with selling on Etsy. Now I'm here to do it all myself this time. Any and all critiques or comments on my shop and the item listings in it are welcome via convo/message to me, if you wish, or on this Group's pages as long as I know where you've left your words for me, so I know where to find them. Thanks!

I hope to be up and running in full by mid-month this month (November, in order to take advantage of hopeful Holiday shoppers.

Also can't wait to pick up some tips to bring in an interested public!

Glad to be here,
Deb

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

We reached $10,000 in sales (and 400 sales). The 10k was our goal and there is still 1 1/2 months left this year. I'm just thrilled.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

So happy to restart my store after almost a year off. I started listing some sweaters today and within 10 minutes I sold one! After my mom died, I just wasn't able to sell without thinking of her. She was always there to share in my excitement and my special "finds". I'm so happy to be back at it!

October was my biggest month of sales since I started my shop in June. Having multiple sales in a month is exciting for me.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I made my 1st International sale this week to Belgium with a custom order. I have to admit that I made it hard for this customer, as he had to reach out to me to inquire. After going through the process, I'm disappointed I waited to venture into International selling. Etsy makes it really easy! By end of week, I plan on updating my shipping policies to encourage International buying and custom orders. So glad I took the plunge into selling world-wide!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi! I'm Stephanie and I opened my shop last night :-) Whoo Hooo! I'm excited and nervous! I'm a SAHM and I do mixed media and paper crafting (Scrapbook Pages, cards, etc.) and I'm really excited to be open to the public now.

I actually had two other shop owners "favorite" some items and my shop. So nice of them!! I was thrilled to see "shop activity" this morning :0 So I'm really celebrating both of those things!

I wondered what resources you guys recommend for SEO information. I tried googling my shop and nothing came up. Maybe that's normal at first?

If anyone has a critique of my shop -- I would LOVE the feedback. I feel like I'm just going on instinct, which is good, but I would love to learn from the BTDT shop owners!

I love that this Team is available. So cool. Thanks in advance for any and all advice! Stephanie
