This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

My new shop is open for a week now and I had my first sale!!!!

A few days ago I reached 5,000 sales! It seemed so far and so close all at once. Every sale is still as exciting as the last, and I wish everyone a great holiday season ahead. :)

good day today! we finally ordered a fancy (aka expensive) engraving machine for the studio....and my other jewelry shop had an order for 10 necklaces that are going to be in a feature film :)

Hooray !!!! I have reached just over 1000 of sales :) Looking forward to then next 1000 and over..
It has been a great experience and glad I decided to create custom orders, add more listings and create variations of my bridesmaid and flowergirl jewelry.. These few changes made the most difference to improve in sales.

Next task to tackle is yet to take the time and improve my shop photos!

Hi! My name is Carolina Ossa, I recently opened my Etsy shop called HelloChiqui [he-loh chee-kee] where I sell crafty kits. Tomorrow marks 2 weeks since I've opened, and I've made a total of 5 sales! Not much, but I'm super excited and it's definitely more than I thought I would have.

I quit my job a couple of months, and even though putting yourself out there can be so scary, I'm really happy of what I've accomplished, and can't wait to see what's to come!

Hello all,

I am an artist working in the medium of cut paper sculpture. My art is inspired by the natural world and animals of all kinds. Some of my work is realistic, illustrating a scene or a moment of a creature's livelihood, and some is whimsical and playful, drawing connections to world cultures and patterns, but all of my work is highly detailed.

Today I am celebrating! My cave salamander sculpture 'Dragons in Darkness' won the President's Award for 3D in the Society of Animal Artist's annual Art and the Animal exhibition. I am honored to even be among such amazing artists - many considered to be the best in the world in the wildlife art genre. The award not only included a cash prize, but afterwards a curator of an exhibit that I have been attempting to get into approached ME and told me she's been following me and would like to work with me in the future! What a wonderful night and weekend!

Today I realized I'd missed my 8th Etsyversary -- I opened my shop on Aug 6th, 2006. Lots of changes here, and I've learned so much about running a small business.

I'm so thankful that I've finally found a place where I can design and be FREE as an artist. No longer do I have to create corporate designs, but instead I'm free to meander off the beaten path. To create from a place within my soul and share my designs with the world.

My digital design shop features instant downloadable artwork. It has only been open for a few months now, and I've been learning so much from fellow shop owners. It's amazing how a community of people from all walks of life can come together and build each other up.

Etsy gives me hope for a new future and limitless opportunity.

I just opened my shop (again) a couple months ago. I am trying to get more sales by goals I have set for myself like adding more listings or making a treasury. I have had 2 sales in the past 2-3 weeks and to me that is HUGE. I know it sounds simple to others with tons of sales, but to me it means progress. I hope to continue on that path. I am getting more favorites all the time which means people are seeing my shop. I think there are a few things that I can work on and tweak to make my shop better, but I hope to continue on the upward path by learning from others that have been where I am. Starting here. :)

I'm soooo excited!! I received my first international sale to Athens, Greece!!
Woo hoo! Two recent sales to California as well!

I so appreciated the information today on Boosting Sales and also the write up on international sales......I found the cost of shipping to be a bit staggering and was thinking twice about selling internationally, but after reading the write up, I will continue! Its all about getting the product out there, which is essential.

After months of brainstorming, designing, and planning, my shop rolled out a re-branding campaign, complete with:

*New shop name, Ethel and June (a homage to my two maternal great grandmothers and a reflection of the upcycled vintage jewelry I design)
*New Instagram account (instagram.com/EthelandJune)
*New banner (self-designed)

I'm feeling productive and on fire to keep up the gusto.

Yay! Finally made my 1st sale on Etsy! For some reason I have been selling more on eBay and was super bummed that nothing was selling. Finally I broke the curse! My 1st sale! Woohoo!

I was notified by the casting agent from the TV SHOW Gags to Riches about my husband's Mongoose Cage that they found on my ETSY shop on Facebook~~!!!!!!!!!!

Ugly Baby is becoming a big Halloween hit also......
We've had a skype interview and signed papers.. ......... YAY
All we're waiting for is to get a call to BE on the show.....
