This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers

I broke even for the year! Sales versus expenses. Actually it's better than that because I now have a good supply of materials on hand.

I quit my job this year to focus full time on my shop!! I am still learning an alot all the time and working hard to get everything 'perfect' but through Etsy I have met some truly wonderful people and even help my brother start us a shop. This week I finally hit 100 items in my shop and this year hit my 100th Etsy sale. Even through etsy I have been able to show my shop locally and build up customers in my villiage as they browse my Etsy shop. I love everything about Etsy and being a part of this and my very own little business makes me very proud!

We are very honored and proud to say that not even two weeks after opening our store we had not only one, but two sales for the month! Celebrating my 1st year on Etsy!!! I have learned a lot in the past year. Thank you all for questions I wanted to ask and didn't and answers I wanted to know.

I will soon celebrate my first year anniversary with my etsy shop...woo hoo!
I have had 4 sales in the year that I have been open, but 86 people have favorited my items and/or shop. Any insight on why people like my items but do not purchase them more often?

Hi, I'm Madelyn! I've had an Etsy shop before, but it was never successful in views favorites, and I never made any sales... I can already see that this shop will be much more successful!!! This month ( which is my first) I have had 70 views and 49 favorites!!! I know this may not seem like much, but it really is for me! I have big hopes for my shop, one of the things I have found helpful is constantly updating my shop, also pinning my items on pintrest with the link attached!!!
If anyone has anything that could help me with sales and more views plz let me know!!! Thanks!

Hooray! After a long, slow summer I've had two sales today and a total of 4 this month. I'm so excited I'm shaking.

August was special for me. I had my first sale! And then the next day I had another. And two days later I had one more. Since then it has been very quiet on the buyer side. My side has been very busy trying to learn all I can about how to have a successful shop and add new silk scarves to my items. Take a look and see what you think.

I am a relatively new active shop owner and sell handmade watercolor cards. The unique twist is the original artwork is 4x6 and attached to a deckled edge blank watercolor card. They are packaged in a clear plastic holder to keep it safe and clean. Sentiments can be written in the card and the recipient can keep the 4x6 original art work and frame it! I am eager to make a sale! Congrats to those of you who are selling well!
