Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I had my 600th sale this month! I can't believe it- I opened my shop a year and a half ago and got only 1-2 sales per month at first! My goal is to reach 1,000 sales by the end of this year :)

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

This July, I've had my first international order! A couple of my lavender eye pillows went to Greece! It was very exciting. Especially since I only average 1 order per year. I LOVE Etsy and really wish I could get more sales. Anyone have any advice?

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Three weeks ago I opened my shop after thinking about doing so for almost one year. I finally realized I needed to just jump in and do it, then work on making it the best that it could be once it was open. It was easier to do then expected, a few videos watched, items loaded on, a banner created and small changes, revisions almost every day as I visit other shops and learn from them. Also made my first purchase from another etsyite(?), etsyonian(?) who was truly gracious. Having had a brick and mortar store a few decades ago this is a huge difference and large learning curve but - onwards and upwards!

July 2014 was our top grossing month of all time! A huge milestone and very reassuring since July 2013 was a horrible month for sales.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I reached 1700 sales in July! I'm amazed that, even after running my Etsy shop for over 7 years, I'm still learning new tricks. This month I amped up my tagging and saw results right away. Never stop learning, tweaking, experimenting!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened towards the end of 2010 just to gt my feet wet, and devoted myself in 2011 to try to add one item per day. I really think that helped motivate me and still does. I loved seeing myself grow , my photos from dark to bright and enhanced, and to also see Etsy grow with their features. It was all very exciting.
July has boosted the highest consumer confidence since 2007, and this month I made 1000 sales!!! I was very proud, and still trying to add my one item a day!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I just hit 2000 sales today. I opened officially last year, but didn't start to seriously sell until June 2013. Now just over a year I'm at 2000 sales! It's amazing and gratifying and leaves me speechless most of the time. I made my dream of quitting my day job a reality and now my husband is joining me full time in September. I couldn't be more thankful for Etsy and the buyers that support all of our small handcrafted businesses.

As a thank you. My 2000th sale received their purchase free of charge!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Thanks Etsy for making it possible and so fun for me to turn a hobby into a wonderful creative, social experience! Sold my 100th handmade item this month! Sales are steady so far this year. Getting ready for a big holiday season, I hope! My advice to new sellers is, read the Etsy seller's handbook and blog to get ideas to improve sales. Keep doing what you love!

Hi ya'll-

This has been an amazing year for my shop. I love the Etsy app and I think it is really driving more traffic to the site. This month I reached 400 sales and am now featured on www.SouthernWeddings.com.

Hoping the sales continue :) Good luck everyone!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi I am Gillian from Esani,

I too love Etsy. I opened my shop in 2012 but then gave up after a couple of months. Then in February this year I decided to try again after reading up a bit about selling online. I wouldn't say I will be giving up my day job anytime soon but I am making a few sales and that delights me. I sell clip art illustrations, custom made logos, photographic collages and pet portraits pop art style.

My goal is to increase my sales. The other goal I have is to be found more often on google. Most of my viewers find me through Etsy.

I am really enjoying my Etsy store. The first thing I do every morning is look at my shop to see what activity has been happening, and then I look again and look again during the day when time permits. I am loving my new passion.

Gillian.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

With my work schedule it's hard to find the time to add a lot of new items, so I feel very blessed for having already made 9 sales! Just seeing how many views and favorites I've gotten so far has been such a great feeling. It gives me joy to know my hard work trying to perfect tags and shop images and descriptions has paid off.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened my Etsy Shop in March, 2014, as an outlet for my latest hobby--making jewelry with gemstones and vintage beads. My first goal was to build up my stock so my customers have a nice choice of items. As of today, I have 180 listings. My second goal was to move all of my old listings from my Ebay store to Etsy. I finished this up today. Now I can concentrate on my third goal which is to develop several prototypes for cost efficiencies. I look forward to whatever new knowledge I can gain from The Team.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I am celebrating !! I opened my shop on etsy in 2008. It took me a long time to find my Brand and passion. But a year ago I did. I have worked very hard and the study to learn more will never end. I celebrate because I never quit and today I am finally at 199 sales. Only one more to reach 200. I have made enough money to put some in savings and soon will buy my own kilns and slab roller! I love selling on Etsy and the community here!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened my shop in 2013. I love having a place to sell my handmade crafts. This month I had my largest order for the most profit. I also reached 100 + sales. Thanks ETSY for a place to sell.
