This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers

I finally got 40 items listed! Inventory building takes time especially when PhotoShop is involved.
Next goal is 50 by Wednesday!! :-)

I've been creating beaded jewelry pieces for years and have finally decided to sell. I started looking at Etsy in 2013, and was a bit overwhelmed. I like things organized and wanted everything in the right place before opening my shop. I just decided the most important thing was getting my pieces listed and my store open. July 19th was the day and I am very excited. Now I want my store to have visual appeal so I'm trying to figure out how to make a banner and add some information. Any help along those lines would be greatly appreciated. I've had 10 views so far, Yay!

In a month and a week of our shop's opening we just passed and celebrating the milestone of 100 views! :)
Our focus now is fully placed on conpleting our branding and get our 1st sale ever!

Congratulations to all of the new achievements! I wanted to share mine too.

This has been the best month as far as sales go since I've been on Etsy. I could have said that last month too but this month broke last months record.

I am very happy because my first two sales arrived to the buyer!
It's a hit because I am in Colombia and my client lives in Iceland...and gosh that is half a world away :D

I've been running my etsy shop since the end of 2012.
Started with simple hand crafted items without any concerns or plans but now I sell from small leather stuff to carved wooden dolls with more cautions and plan.
Have had tough time with no sales, low views. And sometimes even forgot that I have an etsy shop because of the low activity.
I still kept making and listing items though!
Glad I did not give up!

The last friday (I think that was friday), something happened. I got over 10,000 views and fav in some hours all of the sudden. And had crazy sales.
It was not because of FP, did not see any unusual number increase on the traffic sources.
Now, the views getting lower than the crazy high number but still better than the last year. And for that, and that I'm still running my etsy shop, I'd like to celebrate!
And to someone who's gong through similar dilemma, hope you also get through it!

Hi everyone! I run my shop for 13 months. I just got great reviews for a returning customers, which is my first person who return, buy and leave reviews. I had 3 or 4 treasury list with some of my items featured in it in this week, first time again. So far, my shop it's getting slowly but surely growing. At least I feel better with some view that I didn't get in my first 6 or 7 months that I barely could make a sale. I even try to quit making my hair accessories for multiple problems I had to face. Thanks God I didn't! I still here fighting, and hopefully one day I can have enough sale per month that I can quit my day jib and become a fulltime business woman.☺

I got my 100th sale this month!! and my 101st :-D yay! I look back to what I've learned since I opened my shop and it's really amazing. I'm so grateful for all the resources on Etsy to help me reach goals I didn't even know I would have when started :)

I started my shop one month ago. I am enjoying so much Etsy! Having lots of fun. And everybody here is so kind, always trying to help each other. Made my first sale and that makes me really happy! Would love to make many more ;)
Kind of sad (even knowing I shouldn't be) to see most of my friends and family or ignoring me or telling me that what I am doing is too hard. It is not hard, it's a pleasure, I am doing something that I love! Probably they are just busy and I am being selfish.
Took me more than a year to have the courage to open the shop. I am very shy, and I am learning English, but I had to try. :)

I can't believe it. I started on Etsy in late 2011 with very low expectations. I had tried eBay and other online venues and ended up just giving my items away. I just can't believe it. I went over 6000 sales last night. Thank you Etsy!!!!!!

Hello to all from Finland, I just opened my 2nd Etsy shop yesterday. I have had the other Woodland Jewelries Etsy shop for 6 years in next month. I absolutely love being a seller on Etsy, so much to learn everyday. It is my goal, that one day I am able to be a full time Etsy seller.

I have found that Instagram has begun to be one of the best marketing tools for my shops!

Today, July 25th, is my 1st Etsyversary! I am so glad to belong to Etsy. It has opened a whole new world for me and I'm loving every minute of it!
