This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order

I had my best single day ever on Etsy just last week. Sold 3 vintage jewelry items to one buyer for $4700. This sale included a Cartier parure made in the 1970s in sterling, gold and with topaz. I am over the moon!

My shop sells handmade dog clothing and accessories, along with a select few handmade baby items. I've been open since November 2013 and while I've had a few sales, my views have been much lower than i would like. Yesterday, I reached over 100 views....which is a huge improvement for me! I definitely think all of the team discussions have really, really helped me focus and reorganize my items to get them out there and seen! I can't wait to finish revamping my entire shop to take advantage of all the great info I've learned!

I officially quit my day job!!! My last day is June 26th... I'm so very excited to work on my etsy shop full time, but so worried that it will all fall apart. I've been ready to quit for a couple of years now and am finally able to take the plunge!!! So excited to quit my Day Job for my Day Dream... :)

I got my 5th sale today and it was the first wall hanging I sold!!!! I am so excited!!! :):)

I broke the 200 items for sale milestone in my store, it took almost a year to get from 100 items to consistently listing 200. I am pretty stoked. Next goal, 300 items of inventory! I hope 350-400 by Christmas season. :D

Also broke through 300 sales a few weeks back. Another big milestone since I started here in 2011 with 25 items and a "let's see what happens" attitude. I never expected I'd nearly be living off the income from my etsy store, but it happened 3 months out of the last 6 and we're excited!

Running the store has allowed me to remain as a stay-at-home Dad (SAHD) for good with no more commuting to a dreary office job that I didn't care for!

I'm celebrating my first request for a custom order from a customer! I really enjoy doing custom orders and that's why I'm in the business. It's a joy to know that others appreciate my art! Looking forward to more sales and requests as time goes on!

I'm celebrating 2459 favorites in my shop in less than 2 months of opening my shop!! Only 4 sales though, and 3 of which were custom orders, but hey - still happy :-)

Hello Everyone,
I have been on Etsy for 1 month and I have 5 sales. I have been averaging about 1 sale a week with about 50 views a day. I am very happy and grateful but my goal this month is to get 100views a day and 2 sales a week. I am not sure how I will drive more traffic but I will be figuring it out. Thanks for having this thread

I have been able to send my special treasures to people who really want them- a woman who bought a vintage beaded purse I used in high school to use for her son's wedding- a college student who bought a dated mother's day plate that was my mom's, because it was from the year she was born- it was the first time she was able to buy her mom something special other than a card...I relish in the fact that some people are really going big guns here and I congratulate them- but the conversations and reviews I get help me feel that I am doing the right thing putting these out into the world for the right person to find :)

This is the most uplifting thread ever! Feeling a little discouraged, but not at all defeated, I was reading some of the milestone post from 2011, and looked to see how they are doing today, and the results for most are amazing!

Even though I first opened my shop in 2010, I really didn't start selling until 2013, and I am eagerly working towards my 200th sale, only 15 more to go! I hope to look back on this post in a year and say, "Wow, look at how far I've come".

It's been an amazing ride! I learn something every single day, and I make a positive effort to work my Etsy shop every day in some form or another. I am constantly tweaking and rewording, and most importantly for me working on my photography. My mother just bought me an amazing new camera for an early Birthday present so that I can improve my pictures. My cheep point and shoot just doesn't cut it for macro photography.

Here's to tiny steps towards great milestones. Thank you Etsy for everything you are and do for us!

My girlfriend and I are celebrating $10K+ in sales for our rolling 30 day average.. for weeks now!!

Etsy is amazing!! We have been selling since January 2014, after bringing our business online, and have utilized lots of Instagram, facebook, and paid advertising here on etsy and facebook to promote the shop with excellent results. We do get most of our traffic from organic searches here on Etsy though.
