Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened a shop last year but never listed anything. This past October I created something new and started listing items. I got my first sale within two weeks. Last night I got my 60th sale. Now I'm only 5 sales away from my goal of 50 sales for 2014!

Patricia - Congratulations on cross- promoting your work!

PrintandPrettify - I'm certainly no expert, but I loved your site and your work! I'll include one of my favorites in an upcoming Treasury, and hope that helps you move toward Sale #1!

Yvette de Lacy - Congratulations on your first sale!!! Your pottery is beautiful, and I love how your glaze colors tie everything together visually on your site. I'm sure it's just the start for you and your beautiful work!

So nice to be here and see all the positives in terms of success but also in terms of attitude!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Celebrating my first overseas shipment! I sold one of my favorite pots ever to a new customer in London. Shipped it out on Saturday (double boxed it and have fingers crossed that it arrives safely on the other side of the pond).

Here's the piece:

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I'm pretty happy today, I've realized that it was a great idea to make rustic little houses and post them on Etsy!! I never thought they could make a success :) today I sold another 2, few months ago I sold 5... it is a big deal for me :) I wasn't confident at all, at the beginning. but it's great to see that there are people who appreciate the same things I do :) (rustic, old, made from upcycled wood... all this is charming for me, and for other people, I can see :)).
I'm not selling loads of items, but these items are really special for me :)
thanks for listening :)))))))))

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I'm celebrating my FIRST SALE! I was oh so excited to see that there was revenue! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! :)
Honestly, I had no idea how much work running a store online would be :) But it's so fun and so rewarding when you can see that people like or appreciate your items! I have a laser machine so we can cut and engrave nearly anything on nearly anything! I'm working on getting started, creating samples of each product we can make. Any advice on... how to generate traffic to your store? THANK YOU! :)

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello all :) I opened my shop mid-April, and last week I had one customer buy 7 of my items! My store actually looks sad now with very little inventory! But it's a good sad :) Here's to hoping that my items will reach more lovely customers, and the same to all here!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello All,
I need help, I'm a college intern. Just started one week ago. My owner is an amazing artist well known published photographer who has withdrawn from public life. He has an amazing zeal for bringing new life into vintage mid-century home goods. But he is not a salesman, he falls in love with his restorations. He's been on etsy for two months and hasn't sold his first item. How should we go about etsy, how can we make our very 1st sale?
Thanks Jessica
