This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer
• Your shop was featured in the press or in social media

I opened my shop at the begining of this month and made my first 2 sales this week!!!!!!!

one of my items is #6 on google search under "plaid linen tunic"...yeah!!!!

I am excited. For the first time, "search" and "art browse shop" were top spots in my stats for etsy sources.

Then, one of my sources came from "Google product listing"

I believe my continued work with titles, tags, and descriptive words seems to be helping ways of finding my shop.

I sold my biggest item so far, a dress that went over the big ocean. It only took 6 days and I just got a wonderful feedback, that all went well and the customer is happy. This is so cool and a huge motivation.
And from month to month I got more sales. Patience seams to be the secret :-)

Yippy!!! 350 orders (417items) sold since I started on etsy in mid April 2011, just over $10k total sales.... if I keep this up the brick & mortar Antique Mall booths will be done. Focus on what works best!

Five sales in one week, and two away from 50 total!

What a week! I hit 300 sales and one of those was an order for over $1000 of bedding! This totally makes up for the stomach flu I had all week.

March 25th of 2013 marks my 2nd Etsy anniversary. I have 39 sales and still, I wish there was a book, a recipe, a magic wand... I would be doing it all to see my store take off like a rocket.
I have faith: my feet on the ground, my hands on my work, my eyes in the future and my heart in heaven.
Thank You Etsy Catholic, and all the other teams here; for being such a great venue for support, insight and meeting wonderful people! You, my customers and the hope of evangelizing with my craft makes this all worthed!

This weekend, I just listed enough items for me to fill a first page! Conveniently, my holiday-related items got pushed over to the second page! I'm expanding my variety of items and hope that sales will start coming soon. I hope my shop viewers are like me, and saving their "favorites" for a rainy day!

Sold a watercolor painting of an old street in Sicily to a guy with a Kansas address. He attached a note saying that he recognized the street from teenage years when he lived in that little town. That in itself was a surprise and I was happy that he could identify that small backstreet half a world away from my watercolor painting. But the big surprise came when I packed and shipped it, and wrote back to him to give him a confirmation # and an estimated time for arrival in KS. He wrote to say; "Don't worry, no hurry on the shipping; I am in Afghanistan and won't get to see it until I return stateside in April." Now how cool is that? Glad I could distract and provide some pleasure for this unusual customer.
