Noticed Change in Search Ads??

I am wondering if anything has changed with etsy paid for search ads recently.

I am fairly new to etsy. I have only been here 5 months and really only began selling three months ago. Over the last 3 weeks as my shop has been doing really well and growing rapidly my paid for search ads have been dropping (views dropping and sales from ads dropping). I had been seeing lots of views a day and even some sales. But now I am lucky to see 10 views a day and so far only 1 sale from my ads this month. I have good titles and tags. My words seem to be current just not sure why this would be. I would think that with my shop growing that my search ads would still be growing or increasing (by increasing I mean views and sales increasing) as long as I had relevant/trending tags/words and prices. Granted I have not been here very long and may be misunderstanding something. I have also increased the amount I pay for search ads each week and seem to be spending quit a lot for very little return. Also when you search your own products on search engines other than etsy are you able to find your products?

A lot of people will tell you that search ads are a waste of money. And I'd agree.

Although you get views from search ads, you want to get the RIGHT views, the people who are your target market, in order to get sales.
Otherwise, you are paying so much for 1 sale from the ads.

Search the forums for free advertising/promoting tips, there are MANY places that you can promote for free and start there.


And I do find my products on search engines, but that's because I spend time promoting OUTSIDE of etsy.

I'm able to find my products on google if i am very specific in my search.

I have been paying for search adds for a while and it doesn't work, I was very exited to know that they where changing thing today April 25th but I don't see any changes, I started a tread asking what was the changes and nobody seems to know anything about it, so I give up and cancel it.
I agree with Finna from WithLoveFromLucille the only way to get the word out is by promoting as much a you can.
