Item No Longer Found on Top 10 Search Pages

Our Mother's Day card was consistently found on the first and second pages of the Mother's Day card section on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Now on Thursday and so far this morning, I can't find the item even on the Top 10 pages. Any idea on how the Etsy algorithm works? We had lots of views and lots of sales when found on Page 1 and Page 2 and now have hit bottom. Any explanation is greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing happen with several of my things - a huge spike (in my terms) then dropping off to nothing... I think the algorithm has a randomising factor to keep the categories fresh - that doesn't explain how some items are always at the top though :(

I wonder whether there have just been a lot of other folks listing Mother's Day cards in the past few days since it's right around the corner. Could that explain it?

Same thing for me. Yes, a randomizing factor sounds plausible...
