Need help organizing my listings

I'm hoping to get tips on how to organize my listings. My bags come in a few color and size variations. I’d like to learn how to list these variations for my bags in a way that is intuative and easy for customers while also reducing confusion and multiple rounds of convos (which also takes a lot of time). Any suggestions?

Your bags are really nice.

I think I would arrange them so that each row has the same color tones.

You could alternate the dark rows and the light rows any way you want, but I think it looks nice and uniform if like colors are in the same row.

I deal with the same problem of trying to organize. It's a challenge.

Organizing by section?

If I were looking through your shop for bags (which are super cute), I would probably want to see them separated by theme (party, wedding, thank you, etc). Then I would concern myself with material and quantity.

Re: Need help organizing my listings

It looks to me as if organizing by theme or by event either one would work for you. Maybe you could try something like "Weddings," "Birthdays," "Thank You's," "New Baby," "Holidays" and so on? Also, if you include the size of the bags in your titles, then buyers could use the search box for your shop to find the right size.

Agree with Heather....
I would never search for gusseted bags...But,
I would search for party favors, wedding favors, etc.
So I would section them that way...not to worry about colors.
What a wonderful item!

Re: Need help organizing my listings

Hi guys, thank you for all of your helpful comments. I think I didn't explain my question well. What I'm trying to say is that when you look at one of my listings, for example this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/94984571/glassine-candy-favor-bags-happily-ever

If you read the description you will see that this style bag come in a few color (silver or gold lettering) and size (XS, S, M, L, XL) variations. Color choice does not impact pricing, but the size choice does. The listing is priced for the buyer's choice of either XS or S size bags but M, L, and XL bags all cost more.

As you might imagine, this leads to confusion sometimes when I get someone that buys the listing but puts in seller commetns that they want a L size bag, for example. Then I have to go back and forth to explain that actually, a L size bag is more expensive.

I've added color options in a drop down menu where the customer can choose either silver or gold, and I have also added a drop down menu for XS or S size options. However I still want the customer to know that they can request M, L, or XL options (but they cost more)

I'm hoping to figure out a way to list my variations so that it is intuative and easy for customers while also helps to reduce confusion and multiple rounds of convos (which also takes a lot of time).

Hope that clarifies my question. Any thoughts?

Re: Need help organizing my listings

Here's what I would do to avoid confusion - I would only make this listing for the XS/S size and create a separate listing(s) for the larger sizes. I would then provide the link of the larger sizes at the end of the XS/S listing.
That way, if a customer wants a larger size, you have provided all they need to get to that listing. Did any of that make sense? :)

I would also reverse the order and make sure the smaller size listing is linked in the larger size listings....

Re: Need help organizing my listings

Hi Kim, thanks for your feedback. That is a good idea. I guess it would lead me to ask, after I have it set up so that there is one listing for XS and S, and one listing for M, one listing for L, and one for XL, then do I organize my shop sections by size (rather than theme as was suggested above)?
