My shop is fairly new and I am still working on shop information and so on. I did my shop profile first, but now I am having doubts about it, is it just too much information? Would love some honest feedback.. http://www.etsy.com/people/WoolWench?ref=si_pr
I love it! It's totally not too much at all. Etsy says that buyers want to get to know the seller. What better way to let them know who you are than telling them how you began doing what you do and how much you love it? Great profile!
I agree with the above comments in that your profile is delightfully written and completely relevant.
Bit long... but what do I know?
ps I grew up earning my holiday money as a roustabout on the family farm. remember the lovely smell although strangely most other people think it is just a pong.
Hello Suzy! I also live in Holland (from Panama originally).
I like your profile, but personally I think it's best to keep it so that the whole thing fits and you don't have to click "Read More" to finish reading.
Very nice that you explain that you come from NZ and you know your wool :)
Thanks for the feedback! I will work on shortening it, when I realised it didnt all fit I was wondering about who would want to click for more, I prefer all to be seen at once too.
Hey back fellow Kiwi Adele :) Once a rousie always a rousie eh!
I think you should consider becoming a writer as well! You paint a picture with your words. Even though I've never been to NZ, I can imagine that shearing process from your well chosen words. And I never have a problem clicking on read more if the story I'm reading is as wonderful as yours. Good Luck!
It seems a bit long... But I love, love, LOVE your first paragraph. How you describe working on the farm is beautiful and tells me how much you love your wool. The first paragraph alone makes me want to buy from you.
