I am experiencing very low views to my site over the past couple of days(since the FP switch over). I received a lot of my views from people looking to curate treasuries or from looking at treasuries but that has come to a sudden halt. I social network off of Etsy, facebook, instagram, etc... but I am not getting the same views or favorites as before.
Does anyone have any tips for social networking within the Etsy site? Any advice greatly appreciated!Thank you!
I'm getting less features in treasuries than I have in the past, my views are average but my sales are up. I attribute this to more quality views since I stopped worrying about all those team games. They're most likely not my target market and it was wasting so much time. Now I use that time to focus on my titles, tags, and creating. I only make treasuries and favorite what pleases me.
Thank you for the feedback! Would any of you mind taking a peek at my tags? I try to keep them updated, but with the new FP I'm worried about how they are translating to SEO, should I add terms like jewelry, earrings, etc?
I'm still confused with Tags. I have noticed that when I use one word tags I have views from searches that contain a combination of my one word tags. That being said, my views have drastically dropped from low to less that 20 per day.
Yes, your items will still come up in a search for a multiple word phrase, assuming the words in the phrase are all in your tags or title somewhere. However, they will be behind all the items that are optimized for that phrase - optimized meaning having the phrase in the title and as one tag (when possible).
Thank you for the tips Matthew! I never knew that because I broke my phases down into single words and not phrases, I was not optimizing my tags! Getting to work on switching them over! If anyone sees any tags or phrases I'm not using could you let me know?
Simone, the SEO and Relevancy team does SEO reviews, as do I. Also, my very specific, scientific method that I learned from a master is outlined in my blog:
You should start with learning more about SEO and improving the keywords in BOTH the listings titles and listing tags. Find words that shoppers really do use to look for items like yours.
Instead of looking where to network within Etsy, it would be better for your sales to define and find your target market and promote, market and advertise to the people who are looking for products like yours.
