Have you ever...?

Have you ever decided to take a week off work to figure out what you're going to do with your Etsy shop?!

Well...I am!! I feel like I am going to lose money from not working, but I need to keep reminding myself that I can make more than I am making in a week if I just push myself in my shop! Optimism :).

If you have taken some time off work to figure out your shop's destiny, please share your results! If you're planning on taking it to get ready for the holidays, what are your goals for that week?

I wish everyone the best, and happy Etsying!

Re: Have you ever...?

I am aware of how you feel. I work a lot, preparing new stuff, taking picture, listing and then ... no sales. I am always excited and proud when I list something new but then when I see that I have no views or sales I think: ok now I stop and I am no more listing.
I am addicted to crochet or knit, my hands have to always busy so now I am stocking items but I am scared that I am not going to sell them and also my budget is limited, if I don't sell I can't buy too much supplies.

Re: Have you ever...?

Your post touched a chord. I think I need to regroup. I have two jewelry shops and one miscellaneous items shop. The jewelry shops are not doing well. I know the field is saturated, but I always hope. The third shop does very well when I work really hard and keep listing items. As soon as I stop for a day or two, everything stops. I think I need to step back and reconsider what I need to do in the future. Lately I have been thinking that perhaps I should merge the three shops (even though the contents are not compatible) and see what happens.

I would be very interested in learning about other Etsians taking time off to figure out their shop's destiny and their thoughts, results and goals. Thanks for posting the OP.
