Looking for good teams to join

Most of the teams I've looked at, except this one, are promo teams, which I think are a waste of my time. I joined etsy SEO group and found it was a lot of info but no discussion.

Any suggestions for teams similar to this one which are active and interesting?

I enjoy the "craft shows, it's a living" team.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

This is the best team for what you want.

I have been a member of many teams (I got lots of invitations), but left most of them because they where either all about promoting or they where sleapy and slow (and unprofessional).

Some local or regional teams are very active. Perhaps there is one in your area?

I am irritated by spam so I have not explored into other teams. Curious to see if anyone else has suggestions so just bumping the thread.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I recommend FMMND team, super friendly and very active.

If you`re interested in collaborating with other shops, I`ve just started a team called Etsy Collaborators. Convo me if you want to know more or just come and check the team out.

And yes, I`d definitely think about local teams.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I started a local team and have a lot of members but very few posters. Lots of lurkers. The regional team is the same way even though it is run by someone else. I was beginning to think it was just me!
Seems like everyone is more interested in promote and run rather than discussions. Maybe that's what the forums are for. I just find the forums a bit hostile.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

Yep, link-dumpers and silent lurkers are the fast majority of members of pretty much every team on Etsy.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I agree with the post above. All those promo teams are just depressing. Some people insist that they do work, but I just get a frantic and slightly desperate vibe from them. Everybody posting and faving but nobody actually looking or appreciating. Certainly not buying ;-) I may be wrong of course but I steer clear.
Somewhere with a bit of active non promo discussion would be nice.
There are a couple of great SEO and relevancy teams, but as said above, they are for absorbing info and not discussion really.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

i like my local austria team a lot. we´re not that many but there are discussions going on and like two or three times a year we meet on an offline basis...
we do have a "new listing thread" but that´s for new items only so our team captain can keep track when she posts some of them on the teams facebook page or presents new shops, coupon codes etc......

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I stay away from the ones that play the promo games.

Some local teams are great. Unfortunately there weren't many active teams for my area. :(

This and the craft fair team are the only two I am most active on and I've gotten most of my advice from.

Have you tried the forum a fun place with several areas for discussion and a section for promotion if you wish

Do teams send spam? I have a large SEO team and never send anyone Etsy Convo messages or emails. Everyone is welcome to join and learn more about SEO: https://www.etsy.com/teams/11352/relevancy-and-seo-for-all-etsy-shops

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I love this team. I have been helped by it on numerous occasions. There are some very experienced shop owners here and are very willing to share. If it were not for this team, I would have given up long ago.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

Teams don't send spam, but many teams get spammed by sellers, where they post links to their products in every single team thread. Threads not meant for promoting. It often happens in this team too, during the weekend.

Re: Looking for good teams to join

I typically stick to this team, or the discussions forum. Those have by far been the most helpful for me.
