Look over there!!! Driving Traffic to Your Store...

So I have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Baubles-and-Dangles that I constently do promo codes on, and I've tried doing many blog giveaways but I still just see my #'s creeping up. I average about 1 - 2 sales a month on Etsy and I'm not sure what else I can do to drive people to my store..... or to make them buy once there!

What else do you use to drive traffice to your store? Are Twitter and some of these other social media outlets worth looking into? I have a regular full time job so I don't have much time for in person sales, so I'm looking for online advertising ideas that are free or very inexpensive.

I would definitely set up a twitter account. Start following people who might be interested in your jewelry and hopefully they'll follow you back. Pinterest is good too, but you can only use it sparingly for self-promotion.

Have you considered buying an ad on a blog that would appeal to your market? I just bought an ad on a wedding blog that gets 400-700 unique hits every day, but isn't one of the really big ones (i.e. Style Me Pretty). It only cost $20 for a 270x125 ad for the month.

Starting a twitter account was one of the best things I did for promoting my shop! I get more views from twitter than from facebook. I also see a much larger increase in followers on my twitter than facebook :)

Blogging is great, too! Participating in Etsy teams in important, too. Along with making treasuries and promoting others'.

I agree with @Ariella, too! I've also been considering buying an ad spot on another blog or site...it's a great way to bring others' in!

I think also, the better you get the more you're noticed (yeah, right-which comes first). The more sales I started to make the more I got noticed and treasured and it starts cycling on itself. Joining in on teams for a little while each day helps too. I don't do any social media. I just don't have the time.

Re: Look over there!!! Driving Traffic to Your Store...

Thank you for all the great ideas! I've been trying to make more time to join in on the forums, that seems to help others see and promote my shop. Sounds like setting up a twitter account and perhaps advertising on blogs might be things to look into.

Has anyone had any luck participating in a product view or blog giveaway?
