Listing Descriptions

I'm still working on improving my shop, and I wanted some opinions on my listing descriptions. I name most of my dolls in the description, but I was wondering if others didn't like that, and whether it would be better to not name the dolls. Thanks!

Re: Listing Descriptions

I prefer naming my necklaces, it gives then a sense of personalization and it catches on at shows, although not sure about etsy yet.

Re: Listing Descriptions

I like the names, but keep in mind that the first three words of your title need to be exactly what a shopper would search for. So make sure you use varying keywords in the first three slots, then put the names after.

Re: Listing Descriptions

I've only just learned this too and have changed all my listing descriptions to 'what they are' rather than the name of the print.

Re: Listing Descriptions

This is how it was described to me on 'Beginners SEO'

"When it comes to your listings, what are you selling?

What exactly is a ""'Literal Goldie - Three colour hand pulled screenprint in Black, Gold and Cream on White""

If I'm looking for a guitar print I'll never find it. How many people are searching for 'literal goldie"? You can see that in your stats.

And if I google search "literal goldie" the ONLY things that come up are items in your shop
www.google.com/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=literal+goldie...

So its probably not something that is searched very much.

But if I search 'screen print of a guitar' there are hundreds of selections."

They were referring to this item which had the name of the print and the 'three colour etc etc' wording as the title
