Label Printer Recommendations

Right now I'm printing my shipping labels on computer paper and taping them to my packages using shipping tape. I would much rather print them onto an actual label and stick them onto the package. Can anyone recommend a good label printer? Thanks ahead of time!

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I recommend a Dymo 4XL. I've been using mine for over 2 years now with absolutely no problems. I absolutely love it. I also buy my labels from royalmailers.com for pretty cheap as well.

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

Everyone here recommends the Dymo printer. I couldn't justify spending that much money on something so specialized. I purchased a Brother HL-2270DW black and white laser printer. I print two labels on an 8.5x11 label sheet. I also use it for printing my orders. I chose this model over the cheapest because it prints wirelessly.

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I just use my regular printer and label paper. The label paper saves me a lot of time on taping and no printer investment. I still have to buy a lot of ink, but I guess this is the same with every printer...

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I use these labels and after >1000 of them used, I've never had one problem with them. They are very sticky and durable during mailing. They've never jammed. If printing an odd number of labels, I re-run the half-sheet through the printer for the other label without any problems. I also refill my own black ink cartridges to save money. It's easy to do and makes ink refills cheap.

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I use 8-1/2 x 11 labels (2 per page). I print in "greyscale" which uses far less ink. You can purchase them on Amazon or Uline.

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I'm currently printing on copy paper and attaching with shipping tape. I looked into shipping labels to save time but the reviews on a few different brands on Amazon made me shy away from them. A lot of buyers said they smudge or don't stay stuck. I decided to just keep doing what I've been doing. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I just print them on adhesive paper, so I don't have to use tape. :)

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I use these labels from ULINE. They arrived quickly (next day), can be used on both inkjet and/or laser, don't smear, and stick great!

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I have the Dymo 4XL with royal mailers labels.

I try to block my memory of the dark, dark ages prior to owning this wonderful machine.

Re: Label Printer Recommendations

I second Joanne Ross' recommendation. I use a Brother laser printer with Avery two part labels. The printer is versatile and has unbelievable toner life. The labels are very strong and easy to load and look really nice on the box.
A huge improvement over cutting and taping.
