Is tagging this way allowed?

So I've searched in help and can't find the answer to this question.

Are we allowed to put different spellings or similar words in one tag?

Example- I make hair accessories and where I will tag "clip" I've seen others in my category tag "clip clippy clippie"
Is this like the color example "blue red green" of listing in tags that's not allowed, or is it okay?

Yes I believe you can, it said you could different words that mean the same thing. Can't remember where I read this, but this is what I do. As different people call items different things! Maybe someone else more authoratative can confirm :)

red blue green is not an acceptable tag - that is tag stuffing. I would think "clip, clippy, clippie" would also be tag stuffing.

I can tag burnt orange or silk dupioni, because those are acceptable two-word phrases commonly used to describe something. Same goes for "sterling silver" or "precious metal clay" (for my other shop). I can not tag using "silver earring" or "gold necklace" (examples in the TOUs and Do's and Dont's here on Etsy).
